The Quentin Blake Courage print is a four-layer screen print he made for Refugee Week 2026, with the charity Counterpoints Arts. Print Club London pulled it on G.F. Smith paper at A2, in a numbered edition of 150. It costs £90 unframed, and when I checked the Print Club London shop on 13 October 2026, 76 were left.
The word "Courage" is written by hand at the top of a white sheet. Below it, a woman in a yellow top swings from the branch of a tree with her arms flung wide. Underneath her, a woman cuts a cake while two boys look up. Beside them, an older man in red sits in a wicker chair, pen in hand, with a pile of books at his feet.
It is drawn in Blake's scratchy pen line with loose washes of blue, yellow, red and green. "Refugee Week 2026" is written in the bottom left corner, while his signature sits in the bottom right.
Refugee Week is an arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. It started in the UK in 1998 and has run every year since then, around World Refugee Day on 20 June. The 2026 festival ran from 15 to 21 June. That was the 75th anniversary year of the Refugee Convention, according to Quentin Blake's own site.
Counterpoints Arts, which runs the festival, also used Blake's drawings across its Simple Acts campaign. Print Club London says the print is about courage that "shows up quietly in everyday acts of kindness and welcome".
Sir Quentin Blake is the illustrator behind the Roald Dahl books, for example The BFG and Matilda. He was the first UK Children's Laureate and was knighted in 2013. His work is in major public collections.
A2 is the size of four sheets of A4 laid out two by two.
The signature is printed. Print Club London says Blake's signature is part of the image rather than added by hand. So this is not a hand-signed Blake, which matters if you are buying it as a collectable.
Delivery adds £9.50 for an unframed print, which arrives within seven working days. Print Club London will frame it for about £114 to £176, depending on the style. Framed delivery is £19.50, and framed orders take up to three weeks.
With 76 of 150 left, it is not about to sell out. Still, the numbers are going down.
