Loe Lee is the New York illustrator and art director whose Chinatown murals and dreamlike prints come out of her family’s neighbourhood. Here you will find our take on her work and the $24 prints in her shop.
Our take on Loe Lee
Lee’s favourite projects centre on New York’s Chinatown, where her family settled in the 1960s, according to her own site. In 2020 and 2021 she painted murals and ran painting workshops there for the Care for Chinatown initiative.
She studied branding at Parsons and told Creative Boom in 2021: “To this day, mental health, sleep, and dreams are prevalent themes in my work.” Her Hope in NYC prints, made during the pandemic, have sold out.
She is now a designer and illustrator at Meta, and has won two CLIO Gold awards. Her shop still sells signed prints for $24.
