Jake and Dinos Chapman are the brothers whose sculptures of war, Nazis and mutant mannequins made them some of the most controversial artists of their generation. Here you will find our take on their work and where it has been shown.
Our take on Jake and Dinos Chapman
The brothers work as a pair. Dinos was born in London in 1962 and Jake in Cheltenham in 1966, according to Tate. They were shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 2003.
Their work takes on war and violence directly, from Disasters of War, after Goya’s prints, to vast model landscapes. Tate holds several of their works, including Little Death Machine (Castrated) and an Exquisite Corpse series.
Tate Liverpool and Tate Britain gave them a joint survey in 2006 and 2007. We found no current show or edition on open sale.
