EONE Bradley Canvas tactile watch in Noir with a titanium case and two ball bearings marking the time

EONE Bradley

Last updated: 5 October 2026

The EONE Bradley watch tells the time by touch as well as by sight. Two ball bearings move around the dial, one for the hours and one for the minutes, so blind and partially sighted people can feel the time. EONE sells it direct in US dollars and ships to the UK. On 5 October 2026 prices ran from $225 to $395, with the titanium Bradley Canvas at $260.

What the EONE Bradley watch is

Hyungsoo Kim started EONE while he was a graduate student at MIT. A friend who is blind told him the choice was between talking watches and fragile tactile ones. So Kim worked with designers and people with vision impairments on a watch everyone could use.

The Bradley launched on Kickstarter in July 2013 with a $40,000 goal. According to Crowdfund Insider, it passed $250,000 in about a week. The following year the Design Museum in London nominated it for Designs of the Year 2014 in the product category.

The name honours Bradley Snyder, a former US naval officer who lost his sight in Afghanistan and then won Paralympic gold and silver medals in 2012 and 2016.

What it does

  • Hours by touch: a magnetised ball bearing runs in a track around the side of the case to mark the hour.
  • Minutes by touch: a second bearing runs in a recessed track on the face to mark the minutes.
  • Raised markers: a triangle at twelve, long bars at three, six and nine, and short bars for the rest.

Key facts

  • Price: $225 to $395 direct from EONE on 5 October 2026
  • Current range: Bradley Canvas, Mesh, Apex, Voyager and Compass, plus the Apex Salas, Bradley x KBT and Bradley x Dezeen editions
  • Case sizes: 40mm across most of the range, plus a 36mm Mesh Black, both 11.5mm thick
  • Materials: titanium on the Canvas, stainless steel with ceramic or aluminium faces on the others
  • Movement: Ronda quartz with Swiss parts
  • Battery: Renata 371 button cell, which EONE says lasts about two years
  • Warranty: two years when bought direct from EONE

Who it suits

  • Blind and partially sighted people: it looks like a smart everyday watch rather than an assistive device.
  • Designers and design fans: the moving bearings make it an easy conversation starter.
  • Anyone who wants a discreet watch: a touch tells the time in a cinema.

The limits

It is not waterproof. EONE says it copes with rain and hand washing, but not swimming or high-intensity sport.

EONE also warns that the watches are not completely scratch resistant.

Choice is thinner than it looks, too. Much of the range was sold out on 5 October 2026, including the Element, Edge and Lux.

Where to buy the EONE Bradley watch in the UK

EONE's US shop at eone-time.com ships to the UK. On 5 October 2026 its checkout quoted from $22.82 for tracked delivery to London, taking around 10 to 17 days. The orders ship duties unpaid, so import VAT and any duty are yours to pay on arrival. EONE's separate UK shop link was not loading when we checked. The EONE story page covers the background, and Dezeen covered the launch.

EONE's Giving Back page lists support for the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust, Vision Care and The Seeing Eye. Each Bradley x KBT watch helps repair a brailler or buy a year of braille paper for a child in East Africa. For more presents like that, see our gifts that give back.
