Gllu Postcard Shelf: the Super-Poses Ledge
Last updated: 11 October 2026
The Gllu postcard shelf, which Gllu calls the Super-Poses, is a slim ledge of solid chestnut with a brass bar that holds postcards, photos and prints upright on the wall. Gllu makes it in its own workshop in Normandy. On 11 October 2026 the 50cm brass version cost £44 on Gllu's UK store, and the dog postcards by Mary Gribouille that used to come with it in a gift set were £3 each.
What the Gllu postcard shelf is
Gllu is a small French workshop that designs and makes wall pieces in solid wood. The Super-Poses was its first product, and it is still the one the brand is known for.
The idea is simple. Instead of fixing one picture in a frame, you slot postcards, polaroids or prints behind the brass bar and swap them whenever you like. Gllu says it holds anything from a business card up to A4.
The dog postcard set has gone
This page used to cover a £55 gift box that paired a 50cm brass Super-Poses with three dog postcards by the Normandy illustrator Mary Gribouille. Gllu no longer lists that box.
You can still build the same thing yourself. When I checked, the "Truffle Club" and "Truffle Burger" postcards were in stock at £3 each. "Liberty, Equality, Pâté" was sold out as a postcard but available as an A5 print for £7.

Who the Super-Poses suits
- Renters: a couple of small nails is all it needs, so there is no drilling.
- Postcard and print collectors: it suits people who buy cards at exhibitions and never know where to put them.
- Families: school photos, birthday cards and drawings can rotate through one shelf all year.
If you pick up cards at galleries, the Art on a Postcard sales are a good place to fill it.
The limits
The dog gift box is gone, so you now order the shelf and the cards as separate items. It costs a little more, at £44 plus £3 a card, but you get to choose the cards.
Gllu ships from France. The prices above include tax, and shipping to the UK is added at checkout, as free delivery only applies in mainland France.
A postcard shelf is shallow by design. It will not hold framed pictures or books, and Gllu sells other shelves for those.
Where to buy the Gllu postcard shelf in the UK
Gllu sells direct, with prices shown in pounds for UK visitors. The Super-Poses Classic Brass page lists every length, and the Mary Gribouille cards are in the same shop, so one order covers both.
