What the Philips OneBlade 360 is

The OneBlade sits between a beard trimmer and a razor. It trims stubble to an even length with a comb on, cuts clean edges, and shaves off longer hair without a separate razor.

The 360 in the name is the blade. It can flex in all directions, so it keeps contact with the skin around the jaw, chin and neck. The Face + Body version adds a body comb and a skin guard for hair below the neck.

What the OneBlade 360 does

  • Trims: the click-on stubble combs give 1mm, 3mm or 5mm of stubble.
  • Edges: the dual-sided blade cuts a clean line along the cheeks and neck.
  • Shaves: the blade moves at 12,000 cuts a minute, with a glide coating and rounded tips to protect the skin.
  • Body grooming: a 3mm body comb and a skin guard cover body hair and sensitive areas.
  • Charges by USB: it comes with a USB-A cable, but no plug.

Who the OneBlade 360 suits

  • Stubble wearers: the three combs keep a beard at a set length.
  • People with sensitive skin: the protected blade is gentler than a wet razor on many faces.
  • Anyone who wants one tool for face and body: the body kit means you do not need a second trimmer.

We have used a OneBlade for five years, and our Philips OneBlade review works out what the blades cost over a year.

The limits

It does not shave as close as a wet razor. Philips sells it as a hybrid, so expect a very short stubble rather than a completely smooth finish.

Blades are an ongoing cost. Philips rates each one at up to four months, and you get through them faster if you shave every day.

There is no plug in the box, only a USB-A cable, so you need a USB plug or a computer to charge it.

The combs click on rather than adjust. If you change your stubble length often, the sets with a 5-in-1 adjustable comb are easier.
