Oral-B iO10 electric toothbrush in Cosmic Black with iO Sense charger, three brush heads and charging travel case

Oral-B iO10 electric toothbrush

Last updated: 4 October 2026

The Oral-B iO10 is the top of Oral-B's iO range. Its party trick sits in the charger rather than the handle. A small round dock called iO Sense has a screen and a light ring that coach your coverage, brushing time and pressure as you brush, with no app needed. The Cosmic Black set on Amazon UK comes with three brush heads, a charging travel case and a head holder. It cost £299, sold by Amazon, when we checked on 4 October 2026.

What iO Sense does

Other iO brushes keep their coaching in the handle and the Oral-B app. The iO10 moves it on to the charger. iO Sense sits by the sink and shows a countdown timer. Its light ring tracks how much of your mouth you have covered and warns you about pressure. So you get the feedback without propping a phone up next to the tap.

The handle still does the tracking. The Amazon listing calls it A.I. position detection, and it follows where you brush across the front, top and back of your teeth. The app is there if you want a record of each session, but the brush and charger work without it.

How the Oral-B iO10 cleans

The cleaning hardware is the same family as the rest of the iO range. A small round brush head oscillates and rotates, combined with gentle micro-vibrations, and Oral-B says the head was designed with dentists. The handle has seven cleaning modes, a pressure sensor and an interactive display, according to the Amazon UK listing.

Oral-B says the battery reaches a full charge in three hours. Meanwhile the travel case charges the brush too, so a trip needs only the case and its cable.

Oral-B iO10 or iO9?

The difference is iO Sense. The iO9 has a similar handle, the same round head and the same style of tracking. But it shows its coaching on the handle and in the app. On 4 October 2026 the iO9 set with three heads and a charging travel case cost £199.98 on Amazon UK. So the charger costs you about £100.

That is worth paying if you never open the app and want the guidance in front of you. If you already check the app after brushing, the iO9 gives you most of the same information for less.

Who it suits

  • People who rush their brushing: the timer and coverage ring sit in your eyeline, so missed areas are obvious before you rinse.
  • Anyone who never opens a toothbrush app: the coaching happens on the charger instead.
  • Frequent travellers: the case charges the brush, so there is no separate charger to pack.

The limits

£299 is a lot for a toothbrush. Cheaper iO models brush the same way. Most of the extra money goes on the iO Sense charger, the display and the case.

Brush heads add to the running cost. iO handles take only iO brush heads, so heads from an older Oral-B will not fit, and Oral-B recommends a new head every three months.

Stock was low on the day we checked. Amazon UK showed only five left of the Cosmic Black set, so the price may change.
