Apple HomeView is a 7-inch touchscreen with a speaker built in, made for running your smart home, video calls and music by voice with Siri AI. There are two versions. One stands on a kitchen worktop on a domed speaker base. The other fixes to a wall. Both cost £299 on Apple's UK store, pre-orders opened on 13 October 2026, and Apple says both arrive from Friday 13 November. I checked the price and dates on Apple's UK store on 13 October 2026.
HomeView is a screen for the Apple Home app that you mostly talk to. You can ask Siri to turn the heating up or lock the front door, or you can tap the screen. It works with HomeKit and Matter accessories, so lights, plugs, thermostats, locks and cameras from other brands show up on it. The Home Camera face shows up to nine camera feeds at once.
It also makes FaceTime calls through a 12MP Center Stage camera, and it sends Intercom messages to HomePods and iPhones around the house. In the kitchen, it turns a recipe from the web into step-by-step instructions with hands-free timers. Meanwhile, the Photos face turns it into a picture frame for a shared album.
The screen recognises up to six people by their face. Each person gets their own Home Screen. However, personal content such as Messages and Calendar only appears when Apple HomeView recognises you and your paired iPhone or iPad is nearby and recently unlocked.
The wall mounts come from Schneider Home. The Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector starts at £54.95 and the Power Mount AC Wired starts at £69.95. A Power over Ethernet mount follows in early 2027 at £119.95. So the wall model costs at least £353.95 once it is up, before any electrician.
The full list is on Apple's HomeView technical specifications page.
HomeView is built around Siri AI, the rebuilt Siri. You can ask follow-up questions in the same conversation, and a chat started on HomeView carries on in the Siri app on your iPhone. Apple labels Siri AI on HomeView a beta in HomeView software 27.2. Also, it only works in English at launch.
On an iPhone, Siri AI still throws connection errors. My Siri AI review logged them at least three times a day across three weeks of use. Basic jobs such as setting reminders were also slower than with the old Siri. So read the first HomeView reviews for the same problems, because HomeView leans on Siri AI for most of what it does.
"Apple HomeView is designed to be shared by everyone in the home yet feel completely personal to each user," said Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, in Apple's announcement.
You need an iPhone or iPad to set it up, and personal features need one nearby. Android households should look at a Google or Amazon screen instead.
Apple names its own apps for HomeView, such as Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple TV, plus "compatible third-party audio and video apps". Some apps need a paired iPhone nearby. So check that the app you care about is on Apple's list before you order.
It only controls accessories that support HomeKit or Matter. Older smart devices that only work with their own app, or only with Alexa, will not appear on it.
Finally, the wall model's real price is higher than £299, because the mount, cable and adapter are extra.
Apple takes pre-orders for both versions on its UK store and in the Apple Store app, with delivery and in-store availability from 13 November. Apple's own announcement lists only Apple as a seller at launch.

I buy Apple Gift Cards in the JamDoughnut app, then spend them with Apple. JamDoughnut paid 2% instant cashback on Apple Gift Cards when I checked on 13 October 2026. The card covers hardware from an Apple Store or apple.com, plus App Store purchases and iCloud+. I bought my Mac this way, and my own HomeView too. Apple takes up to eight gift cards per order, but not alongside PayPal or Apple financing.
Rates can change, so check the app before you buy. My JamDoughnut page uses a referral link.

The countertop model has its own speaker system with Spatial Audio, and it joins multiroom audio with HomePods. It can also be your Home hub. Apple does not mention stereo pairing two HomeViews.
