Dame Tracey Emin is the London-born, Margate-based artist behind My Bed, the neons and the confessional paintings and textiles. Here you will find the Tracey Emin prints and editions you can buy now, where her work is on show, recent auction results, and our 4/5 review of her 2026 Tate Modern retrospective.
Our take on Tracey Emin
Emin puts her own life straight into the work: My Bed (1998), the appliqué blankets, the handwritten neons and, more recently, big loose paintings of the body. She was shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 1999, represented Britain at Venice in 2007 and was made a Dame in 2024. On how she got there, she told the Louisiana Museum: “I didn’t let anybody stop me, I didn’t listen to anybody and I did what I had to do, because I had a vocation.”
I gave her Tate Modern retrospective, A Second Life, 4/5 this spring. “The textile works and installations are world-class,” I wrote, but the crowds were a downside, “along with paintings that do not quite reach the heights of the other work.”
New Tracey Emin prints are not cheap. Her 2026 lithographs with Counter Editions are £12,000 each, and several of the series have already sold out. At auction, her signed prints regularly sell for several thousand pounds.
