Our take on Hanna Lee Joshi
Joshi paints the female figure as “an inner self portrait”, in layered paint with coloured pencil built over the surface, according to her own site.
She told Colossal in 2021: “I’m working on pieces that explore finding my identity and the nature of the self. Reconnecting with my Korean heritage and accepting all the things that make up who I am.”
Her clients include Apple, Adobe and Canada Goose. She has shown in London twice, but her site no longer has a shop, so nothing is on sale right now.
