Anya Gallaccio is the Scottish artist who makes art from flowers, ice, apples and trees, and lets it change or decay. Here you will find our take on her work, her 2026 show in Norfolk and the edition you can buy for £1,400.
Our take on Anya Gallaccio
Gallaccio works with living and perishable materials. Preserve ‘Beauty’ used 1,800 red gerberas behind glass, and for Tate Britain’s Duveen Gallery in 2002 she installed oak trees, according to Thomas Dane Gallery.
Change is the point. “I like not knowing what is going to happen. I don’t want to illustrate a process,” she said, as quoted by Thomas Dane for her 2007 show.
In 2026 she showed at Gunton Park in Norfolk. Counter Editions sells her new print, Waxing Star.
