NASA Space Mug by AstroReality

No longer sold. The NASA Space Mug was a ceramic mug from AstroReality, branded with NASA's "worm" logo, with an augmented reality view of Earth that appeared through a phone app. It was last listed in the UK at £24. When I checked on 19 October 2026, the UK shop that sold it no longer loaded and AstroReality's own website no longer worked, so I struggled to find it anywhere. Our gift guides below have plenty of presents that are still on sale.
What the NASA Space Mug was
AstroReality made space-themed objects that came alive through a phone app. With this mug, you pointed the app at it to see a view of Earth from orbit, and the rest of the time it was an ordinary ceramic mug for tea or coffee.
The red NASA "worm" logotype is a design classic in its own right. NASA retired it in 1992 and then brought it back in April 2020, as NASA explains. It was designed by the firm Danne & Blackburn.
Can you still buy it?
Not new, as far as I can find. The UK shop that stocked it no longer loads, AstroReality's website now sends visitors to an unrelated site, and Amazon UK has no listing for it. For that reason, I have not linked to either site.
