Hazzey Studio Prime Colours is a set of bright porcelain cups and mugs made by the studio 16kai and sold in the UK by Hazzey Studio, a small shop in Devon. Each piece has a thin eggshell glaze over a strong colour, from cobalt blue to crimson. The Deer Cup costs £32, the mugs and cups with saucers cost £45, and delivery is free on orders over £80.
Hazzey Studio sells drinkware and art objects from independent studios around the world. The Prime Colours collection holds ten pieces, all by 16kai: eight cups and two mugs.
Every piece is high-fired porcelain finished with what 16kai calls an eggshell glaze. It goes on very thin and slightly translucent over the base colour, so the surface feels silky rather than glossy. The blue on the Ideal cups and the Large Mug comes from cobalt oxide, the pigment behind traditional Chinese blue-and-white porcelain.

Stock is thin. On 22 October 2026 the shop had one blue Large Mug and three blue Deer Cups left. The saddle brown Deer Cup and the dark green Large Mug were sold out.
Hazzey Studio keeps a small UK stock, so some orders ship from China, Japan or Korea instead. Those take 7 to 14 working days, with taxes included. The shop shows the delivery route at checkout, so check it before you buy for a birthday.
Delivery adds £4.99 to a single £32 cup. To get free delivery you need to spend £80, which means two mugs or three Deer Cups.
The silver-glazed cups need more care. They cannot go in the dishwasher or the microwave, so they are washed by hand, and the silver darkens with use.
Hazzey Studio sells 16kai in the UK, and the full range is on its Prime Colours collection page. I struggled to find 16kai on Amazon UK. Most UK orders go out by Royal Mail Tracked 48 the next working day.
The Deer Cup is £32. The Ideal cups with saucers, the Large Mug, the Jelly Mug and the Mountain Cup are £45 each, and the silver-glazed Ideal cups are £68.
16kai designs and makes them. Hazzey Studio, based in Devon, sells them in the UK.
