Arnaud Pfeffer is the Paris artist and industrial designer who draws with machines he builds and adapts himself. Here you will find our take on his work, where he has shown, and the originals you can buy from £325.
Our take on Arnaud Pfeffer
Pfeffer trained as an engineer and industrial designer, then turned his drawing machines into his art. He repurposes plotters and tattoo machines, rigs up rotating brushes and makes his own inks, according to Galerie Data.
The results sit between hand drawing and code. SHOWstudio commissioned him to draw looks from its Milan spring/summer 2023 coverage.
His advice to other makers, given to STABILO: “Always share and discuss your work with others.”
Arnaud Pfeffer: the essentials
- Born in 1992; lives and works in Paris, according to Galerie Data.
- Trained at Arts et Métiers ParisTech (2012 to 2014) and ENSCI Les Ateliers (2014 to 2017).
- Working as an independent artist since 2018, drawing with robots and designing drawing tools.
- Prints of his work are published by Paper Collective in Copenhagen.
