Marc Quinn is the British artist who first made his name with Self, a cast of his own head made from his frozen blood. Here you will find our take on his work and where to see it.
Our take on Marc Quinn
Quinn came to attention in 1991 with Self, a life-size cast of his head made from his own frozen blood, according to Tate.
He works across sculpture, painting, drawing and photography, and often uses his own body. Tate quotes him as wanting to understand “what it means to materially exist in the world”.
Tate Liverpool gave him a solo show in 2002. We found no current UK show or edition on open sale.
