Our take on ShouXin
ShouXin draws cats, and sometimes dogs, in graphite pencil on sketch paper, with very few lines. It took time to get there. “In the beginning, my lines were messy and overly detailed,” he told My Modern Met in 2026. “But through years of creating and observing, and a lot of reflection, my work gradually became more minimal.”
The point is to keep the animal moving. “I found that when the lines are too complicated, the body can start to look stiff and rigid,” he said in the same interview.
He sells direct from his own shop, priced in US dollars and shipped worldwide. UK buyers may pay import duty or VAT on delivery.
