The Moonlight screenplay book is A24's hardback edition of the script for Barry Jenkins' 2016 film, which won Best Picture at the Oscars. It includes an introduction by Frank Ocean, an essay by Hilton Als and the acceptance speeches from Oscars night. A24's own shop lists it at $60, about £45, and in stock, and it ships to the UK.
A24 published this book in September 2019 as Book 003 in its Screenplay Book Collection. The series prints the scripts of A24 films as large hardbacks, with extra writing around each one.
Barry Jenkins wrote the screenplay from a story by Tarell Alvin McCraney. At the 89th Academy Awards in February 2017, the film won Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali, according to the Academy's official record.
If you want to watch the film again first, our guide to MUBI in the UK covers every current price and the weekly cinema ticket.
First, it is an imported book. A24 ships from the US, so customs and import fees may apply. A24 says it calculates these at checkout, along with shipping.
Also, it is a script, not a photo book. Most of the pages are screenplay text, so it suits readers more than coffee-table browsers.
Finally, the page count varies by listing. A24 says 200 pages, while Amazon UK's listing says 224.
A24 sells it direct on its official shop, and the shop lists the United Kingdom among the countries it ships to. A24 says international orders usually take 9 to 16 days to arrive after dispatch.
However, Amazon UK had no new copy sold by Amazon earlier this month, only other sellers. Meanwhile, some UK independent bookshops list it at £50, so stock is worth checking locally too.
A24 listed it at $60, about £45, when I checked on 19 October 2026. In addition, UK booksellers list it at £50.
Frank Ocean wrote the introduction. The book also has an essay by Hilton Als.
