Bob is a small countertop dishwasher from the French company Daan Tech. It has its own water tank, so you fill it like a coffee machine and it needs no plumbing. It holds the daily dishes of up to three people and takes plates up to 29cm across. Amazon UK sells the yellow-door Bob for £349, sold and shipped by Daan Tech.

Daan Tech was set up by two engineers, Damian Py and Antoine Fichet, after they struggled to find a dishwasher small enough for a Paris flat. "Dirty dishes just kept piling up in the flat," Py told The Connexion in 2019. "We thought we must be able to do better."
The result is a dishwasher about the size of a microwave that sits next to the sink. It plugs into a normal socket, and the waste hose drains into the sink. Alternatively, you can connect it to the tap and the waste pipe if you would rather not refill the tank.
Bob carries the Origine France Garantie label. Daan Tech also says the body is at least 85% recycled plastic.
If you spend most evenings in, our gifts for homebodies guide has more for people who like to stay warm and cosy at home.
Three people's daily dishes is a small load. Pans and large serving bowls will not fit alongside the plates, so most households will still wash some things by hand.
At 49cm high, it will not fit under every wall cupboard. Measure the gap between your worktop and the cupboards before you order.
Price is the other catch. A full-size freestanding dishwasher costs about the same or less, so Bob only makes sense where a big machine will not fit.
Finally, using the tank means refilling it before each wash. That suits occasional use, but daily users may prefer to connect it to the tap.
Daan Tech sells Bob on Amazon UK itself, with the listing shipped and sold by Daan Tech. The yellow-door version is £349, and the red-door version is the same price. Daan Tech's own website now sends UK visitors to its euro store, so Amazon is the simplest way to pay in pounds.

From 15 minutes on the Glass programme to 180 minutes on Eco. The Express cycle takes 20 minutes.
Not that I could find. Daan Tech's old referral scheme has ended, so the code that used to be on this page no longer works.
