The Camper Kobarah is a heeled sandal moulded from EVA, a soft foam-like plastic, with straps that curl round the foot like a snake. Camper says the design was inspired by cobras, which is where the name comes from. The blue pair costs £155 on Camper's UK site, with a 7.6cm heel and a removable footbed.
What the Camper Kobarah is
Camper is the Spanish shoe brand behind the Pelotas trainer. The Kobarah is one of its more sculptural designs. Its upper is one moulded piece of EVA, with a rounded shape and a wide heel.
In March 2022 Camper relaunched it as a gender-neutral sandal with extended sizing, according to Hypebae. Camper still lists some colours as unisex, and it sells the Kobarah in its women's range.

The limits of the Kobarah
The upper is one moulded piece, so there is no strap or buckle to adjust. If the fit is wrong, the only fix is another size, so check Camper's size guide before you order.
Stock moves between colours. An earlier blue Kobarah is already sold out, with only a notify-me button on Camper's site.
At £155 it is also expensive for a plastic sandal. Joining Camper's Walking Society takes 10% off, which brings the blue pair to £139.50.
