The Harland Miller scarf has gone from the shop

The Harland Miller scarf on this page is the “Oh No” Scarf, and the Design Museum Shop no longer sells it. Its product page returns a 404, which I checked on 5 September 2026, and the scarf is absent from the shop’s own Harland Miller collection.

The museum’s Harland Miller display ran from 10 December 2025 to 25 January 2026. Merchandise from a display usually outlives the display itself, and most of this range still has, but the scarf has sold through.

What is still on sale

The Harland Miller collection at the Design Museum Shop held twelve pieces when I looked. They run from a £6 Boss mug and a £12 Kiss tea towel, through the £17.50 Kiss tote bag, up to £120 posters and a £150 Boss bomber jacket.

The Kiss tote at £17.50 is the nearest thing to the scarf on price, and it carries the same trademark colour and lettering. It also sits in my £25 and under gift guide.

Second-hand, and how likely that is

Searching eBay UK for a Harland Miller scarf is the other route, and it is a thin one. On 5 September 2026 that search returned no scarves at all. eBay filled the page with his prints, posters and books instead, priced from about £20 for a small framed print to several hundred for a signed edition.

So one does surface occasionally rather than reliably. A saved search on eBay is more use than checking by hand, because the listings that do appear tend not to sit there long.

What the scarf was

It took its cues from Miller’s love of football, so it read as much like a terrace scarf as a gallery souvenir. The typography was the point, as it is in his paintings.

Delivery, for the rest of the range

UK delivery at the Design Museum Shop starts at £5, with free UK shipping over £60. The £6 mug and the £12 tea towel therefore cost more in postage than they look, which is worth knowing before ordering one on its own.
