Juniper Ridge White Sage Campfire Incense

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Juniper Ridge incense is made from plant sap and powdered bark on a bamboo stick, with no charcoal and no added perfume. The White Sage Campfire Incense smells dry, herby and warm. A pack holds 20 sticks.

It costs £10 a pack from Juniper Ridge's own shop, which prices in pounds and ships to the UK by FedEx, usually within a week. Free shipping does not apply to international orders, so delivery is added at checkout. Prices checked on 5 October 2026.

It is no longer sold on Amazon UK.

What makes Juniper Ridge incense different

Most incense sticks are a charcoal core dipped in fragrance oil. Juniper Ridge, a California company, makes its sticks from the sap of the plant itself, mixed with Litsea glutinosa bark powder, which binds the stick and helps it burn. The ingredients for this pack are white sage, that bark powder and the bamboo stick. Nothing else.

The white sage comes from a family-run farm in Mexico rather than from wild plants. Juniper Ridge gives 10% of sales of its white sage products to Indigenous First Nations groups, which it has done since 2019.

Key facts

  • Pack: 20 incense sticks
  • Ingredients: farmed white sage (Salvia apiana), Litsea glutinosa powder, bamboo stick
  • Scent notes, in Juniper Ridge's words: bright herbaceous, warm, sun-washed desert slopes
  • Free from: synthetic fragrance, dyes, preservatives, parabens and phthalates
  • Certification: Leaping Bunny cruelty free
  • Made in: California

Other scents in the range

The same 20-stick campfire incense also comes in California Juniper, Cedar, Desert Piñon, Douglas Fir and Sweetgrass, and each scent is sold in a three-pack too. Juniper Ridge describes California Juniper as dried leather and pollen-dusted stone, if you want something smokier than sage.

Using it safely

Burn it in a well-ventilated room, in a fire-safe holder on a level, heat-resistant surface that catches the ash. Never leave a lit stick alone, and keep it away from children and pets. Juniper Ridge advises anyone who is pregnant or has asthma to check with a doctor first.

Who it suits

It suits anyone who likes incense but finds the perfumed kind too sweet or headache-inducing. It also works as a small gift for someone who spends weekends outdoors. For more cosy, stay-at-home presents, see our gifts for homebodies.
