Sugru mouldable glue is a putty you shape by hand that cures into flexible silicone rubber, sticking to whatever you pressed it onto. People use it to fix frayed charging cables, fill gaps, make hooks and add grips. It is now made by tesa, and on 4 October 2026 a pack of three 3.5g sachets in black, white and grey cost £10.98 on Amazon UK.

Each sachet holds a single use of soft putty. Once you open it, you have about 30 minutes to knead it, press it into place and shape it. After that it starts to firm up.
It cures at room temperature into silicone rubber. According to tesa, the first 3mm takes about 24 hours, and thicker pieces can take up to 48 hours. Once cured it stays slightly flexible, so it can take knocks without cracking.
Because it starts soft, you can mould it into a shape rather than just glue two parts together. That is why it gets used for cable strain relief, bumpers on furniture and custom hooks.
tesa says Sugru bonds to glass, ceramic, wood, metal and most plastics. The Amazon listing adds plaster and fabrics. It does not stick well to oily plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene and Teflon, so it will not hold on a non-stick pan or many food tubs.
Cured Sugru is waterproof and handles temperatures from minus 40°C to 180°C. tesa rates its UV resistance as equal to five years of outdoor weather, so it can go on garden tools and outdoor fittings.

Each sachet is single use, so you need to plan the repair before you open it. Leftover putty sets within about half an hour and is wasted.
It is not for food contact, so keep it away from the inside of cups, plates and lunch boxes. It is also only for low-voltage electronics up to 24 volts, never for mains wiring.
Unopened packs keep for 22 months from manufacture. tesa says chilling them in the fridge or freezer extends that, which helps if you buy a bigger pack.
Amazon UK sold the black, white and grey three-pack for £10.98, sold by Metler UK and dispatched by Amazon. The Sugru pages on tesa's website cover how to use it and show repairs people have made.
