Neo Tarot is a tarot set from Jerico Mandybur that treats the cards as a self-care tool rather than a way of predicting the future. The boxed set holds a 78-card illustrated deck and a 144-page guidebook. Hardie Grant published it in 2019. On 3 October 2026 Amazon UK had it at £8.25, with one copy left in stock.

The box holds two things. The first is a 78-card deck in full colour, the standard size for tarot. That means 22 major arcana cards and 56 minor arcana cards across four suits. The second is a hardback guidebook with an entry for each card.
The guidebook explains what each card's symbols mean and how to apply them to your own life. Hardie Grant describes it as a mix of insights, practical advice and exercises. You can add them to a self-care routine straight away.
Most tarot books start from fortune telling. Mandybur starts from the idea that the cards are useful for reflection: you draw one and read what it means. Then you think about how it applies to your own week. That makes it a reasonable first deck for someone who likes the look of tarot but is sceptical about the predictions.
Mandybur was the founding editorial director of Girlboss. She now works as a tarot reader, coach and speaker, and hosts the Self Service podcast. Her later card sets include Daily Oracle, Love Oracle and Pleasure Oracle, according to the Hardie Grant page for Neo Tarot.
Stock is the main problem. Amazon UK had one copy left when we checked, and the price may rise once it sells. If that copy goes, look for the ISBN above at other booksellers rather than a different edition.
The reflective approach will not suit readers who want traditional fortune telling. For a different kind of self-help gift, Jeffrey Marsh's Take Your Own Advice is about learning to put your own needs first.
