Ryan Mosley History screen print

Last updated: 27 October 2026

History is a single-colour screen print by the Sheffield painter Ryan Mosley, made in 2024 and donated to Alzheimer's Research UK. The Ryan Mosley History print is an edition of 40, each one numbered, signed, titled and dated, and all of the money from a sale goes to dementia research. The charity's shop sells it for £200, plus £10 for tracked delivery, so £210 in total.

What the Ryan Mosley History print is

The print was pulled by hand in a single orange ink on soft white paper. Mosley signed, titled and dated each sheet in pencil along the bottom margin.

Mosley was born in Chesterfield in 1980 and studied at the University of Huddersfield and the Royal College of Art. His paintings are in the Arts Council Collection and the Saatchi Collection, and he has been represented by Josh Lilley in London since 2020, after earlier shows with Alison Jacques. His first solo show at Sheffield's Graves Gallery ran from 26 February to 4 July 2026.

He gave History to Alzheimer's Research UK, so the charity keeps the full sale price. That money funds research into the diseases that cause dementia.

  • Where the money goes: 100% of the sale to Alzheimer's Research UK

Who it suits

  • First-time collectors: a signed, numbered edition by a painter with work in public collections, at A3 so it frames without a custom order.
  • People touched by dementia: the whole price goes to research, which makes it a present with a reason behind it.
  • People who follow Mosley's painting: a signed print costs far less than one of his original canvases.

If you are building a small collection on a budget, our guide to affordable art in the UK lists fifteen prints and originals under £500.

The limits

Delivery is not included. The £10 tracked postage takes the total to £210.

It comes unframed, so an A3 frame is an extra cost.

Only 40 were made, and the charity shop is the one place selling it new, so once the edition sells out there is no restock.

The orange is bright, and screen-printed ink fades in direct sun, so hang it away from a south-facing window.

Where to buy it in the UK

The Alzheimer's Research UK shop sells the numbered edition and the artist's proof. For Mosley's background and the collections that hold his work, see his profile at the Contemporary Art Society.
