At 12 x 11 x 1.5cm, it is a little bigger than a beer mat and about as deep as five pound coins stacked up. So it suits a ring and a pair of earrings, not a full set of keys and a wallet.

Portico Designs Ltd produces it for the charity. That means it is a manufactured ceramic carrying an artist's drawing, rather than a handmade studio piece.

Laura Cordwell, the artist

Where the money goes

ARTHOUSE Unlimited is the seller, so the £15 goes to the charity rather than to a shop passing on a share. The charity says 100% of its sales go towards keeping it running.
