ZEZE Beer Shape Cooling Mat

Last updated: 19 October 2026

What the ZEZE cooling mat is

ZEZE is a pet brand known for playful beds and mats, and Pets Villa is a UK pet shop that stocks a run of its designs. This one is a flat, blue pad with a soft fabric cover and a padded green-and-white top shaped like the froth on a beer.

Pets Villa describes it as a mat that absorbs and spreads heat, giving your pet a cooler surface to lie on. It works for cats, small dogs and other small pets, and you can move it from room to room.

Sizes and prices

• Small: 64 x 54 x 6cm, £13.60 (was £16)
• Medium: 80 x 67 x 6cm, £17 (was £20)

The small size suits most cats. A larger cat that likes to stretch out, or a small dog, will be happier on the medium.

Who it suits

• Cats that sprawl on tiles in summer: it gives them a cooler spot that is softer than the kitchen floor.
• Flats that get warm: top-floor and south-facing rooms heat up fast on a sunny afternoon.
• Anyone who likes a pet bed with a sense of humour: the pint shape is the reason to pick this one over a plain pad.

The limits

Pets Villa gives little detail on how the mat cools. There is no mention of a gel insert, so expect a cool-feeling fabric rather than a mat that stays cold for hours.

It is also a summer buy. In October you are stocking up for next year, although the sale price helps.

Finally, a mat is only one part of keeping a cat cool. The RSPCA's summer advice for cats puts shade and fresh water first: "Cats will often seek shade and drink more water to keep themselves safe in hot weather."

Where to buy it in the UK

Pets Villa sells both sizes online, and both were in stock when I checked. Prices include the current sale discount, so they may go back up to £16 and £20.

FAQs

How much is the ZEZE cooling mat?

£13.60 for the small and £17 for the medium at Pets Villa, checked on 19 October 2026.

Is the ZEZE Ice Silk Cool Bed still available?

Not at Pets Villa. Its product page now redirects to the shop's homepage, and a search for ZEZE no longer finds it.

Do cooling mats work for cats?

They give a cat a cooler surface to lie on, which helps on a hot day. Even so, shade, fresh water and good airflow matter more.

Can dogs use the ZEZE cooling mat?

Yes. Pets Villa says it suits cats, dogs and other small pets. Pick the medium for a small dog.
