Catit Senses 2.0 Food Tree slow feeder with a green tower on a white tray and a kitten pawing at it

Catit Senses 2.0 Food Tree Slow Feeder

Last updated: 4 October 2026

The Catit Senses 2.0 Food Tree is a slow feeder for cats: a see-through, three-tier tower with holes all round, so your cat has to paw dry food or treats out a small amount at a time instead of wolfing a bowlful. It sits on a wide tray that catches what falls. On 4 October 2026 it cost £16 on Amazon UK, sold and dispatched by Amazon, with 4.4 out of 5 from 9,544 ratings.

How the Catit Food Tree slows a cat down

You lift off the top cover and pour dry food or treats into the tower. Your cat then reaches into the openings on each level and scoops pieces out with a paw. Catit points out that pawing at food is instinctive for cats.

Food that drops falls into the collector tray around the base. Catit designed the tray to be wide and shallow, so your cat can eat from it without its whiskers brushing the sides. The top opening is narrow, which stops a determined cat from sticking its face in and emptying the tower from above.

For a cat that eats too fast and brings it back up, this matters. Catit says pawing out small portions slows eating to a healthier pace, which can mean fewer stomach upsets from eating too much too quickly.

The three difficulty settings

Inside the tower is a disc with three settings that change the size of the openings. Start on the most open setting so your cat gets a quick reward, then narrow it once your cat has learnt how to get the food out.

You can also choose which levels to fill. Putting food only in the lower tiers makes it easier, and filling the top tier makes your cat stretch and work for it. Catit says the tower takes small toys too, if your cat would rather play than eat.

Who it suits

  • Indoor cats: a cat with no garden to hunt in gets something to do at mealtimes.
  • Bored cats: the pawing keeps them busy for longer than a bowl does.

The limits

It works with dry food only. Wet food would clog the openings and the disc, so a cat on a wet diet needs a lick mat or a slow-feeder bowl instead.

It also takes up floor space. At 37.5cm across and 33.5cm tall it is closer to a small side table than a bowl, so measure your feeding spot first.

If your cat loses interest, leave the disc on its most open setting and fill only the bottom tier for the first week, so the food comes out easily while your cat learns how it works.

Where to buy it in the UK

Amazon UK sells the Food Tree directly, with free delivery. Catit lists the full specification and cleaning instructions on its Senses Food Tree product page.

The ZEZE raised pet bowl is a simpler bowl for a cat that eats at a normal pace.

FAQs

How much is the Catit Senses Food Tree?

£16 on Amazon UK on 4 October 2026, sold and dispatched by Amazon.

Does a slow feeder stop a cat being sick after eating?

It can help when the sickness comes from eating too fast, because your cat has to paw food out in small amounts. If your cat is sick often for no obvious reason, ask your vet.

Can I put wet food in the Catit Food Tree?

No. It is made for dry food and treats, and wet food would block the openings.

How do you clean the Catit Food Tree?

Lift off the top cover and take the tower apart. Catit publishes a cleaning guide for it on its website.

Is the Food Tree suitable for kittens?

Catit sells it as a cat and kitten toy. Start a kitten on the most open disc setting so the food comes out easily.
