Steamery Cirrus Core handheld clothes steamer in black Onyx with its hanging loop

Steamery Cirrus Core Handheld Steamer

Last updated: 4 October 2026

The Steamery Cirrus Core is a 1350W handheld clothes steamer from the Stockholm brand Steamery, and it replaces the Cirrus X that this page used to cover. It heats up in about 15 seconds, weighs 800g and has a heated stainless steel plate, so you can steam a shirt on its hanger instead of getting the ironing board out. On 4 October 2026 it cost £100 from Steamery UK and £100 on Amazon UK in black.

What the Cirrus Core does

You fill the 85ml tank, switch it on and wait about 15 seconds. Then you run the plate down a garment while it hangs, and the steam relaxes the creases out of the fabric.

Steamery calls its system dry steam, and says it smooths creases without leaving water stains on the fabric. The plate is heated as well, so you can press it against a collar or a seam rather than only holding it near the cloth.

Steamery says it is safe on all fabrics except leather and suede. When you have finished, the built-in loop lets you hang the steamer on a hook or a hanger, and the cord is 1.9m long.

Cirrus Core vs Cirrus X

Steamery describes the Cirrus Core as based on the Cirrus X, the model that used to sit on this page. The Cirrus X has gone from Steamery's UK shop, and its old product link now forwards to the Cirrus Core.

So if you were after a Cirrus X, this is the one Steamery now sells in its place, at the same £100 the Cirrus X cost. The Cirrus Core has a single steam setting.

Who it suits

  • People without an ironing board: it does the everyday shirt-and-trousers job on a hanger.
  • Frequent travellers: at 800g and 31cm long it fits in a carry-on, and it gets a hotel-room shirt presentable before a meeting.
  • Anyone with delicate fabrics: steaming on a hanger avoids pressing a hot iron straight onto silk or wool. Leather and suede are the exceptions, so keep it away from those.

The limits

The tank holds 85ml. Steamery says that is enough to steam a full outfit in one go, but a whole week of shirts means stopping to refill.

It has one steam setting, so you cannot turn the output down for very fine fabrics or up for heavy linen. Test it on a hidden seam first if you are unsure.

A handheld steamer will not give the crisp creases a board and iron give a pair of suit trousers. It is a crease remover, not a full replacement for an iron.

On Amazon UK the listing had only 10 ratings on 4 October 2026, because the Cirrus Core is new. That is too few to say much about long-term reliability yet.

Where to buy it in the UK

Amazon UK sells the black Cirrus Core through Steamery's own store, dispatched by Amazon with free delivery. Steamery sells all three colours on its Cirrus Core product page, along with the product manual.
