The Loftie alarm clock is a bedside clock built so your phone can sleep in another room. It wakes you in two phases, a soft sound first and a fuller melody a few minutes later, and it plays more than 100 sleep sounds with no subscription. Loftie lists it at £139.99 in black or red and £159.99 in its other finishes, and on 13 October 2026 the black one was on offer at £119 with a free Loftie Card. I checked the prices at Loftie on 13 October 2026.
The headline feature is the two-phase alarm. First, a soft sound plays for 30 seconds and fades out. Then, 3, 6 or 9 minutes later, a calmer continuous melody gets you up. You pick the sounds for both phases, and you can set alarms on the clock itself or in the Loftie app.
At night, it does the jobs a phone usually does. There are more than 100 sleep sounds, from white and brown noise to rain and breathwork, and a sleep timer fades them out. There is also an adjustable nightlight, a Red Mode with no blue light and a Blackout Mode that switches the display off completely. Meanwhile, a feature called Bed Signal nudges you with light and sound when it is time to wind down.
The newest addition is Drift. According to Loftie, the apps you choose lock on your phone when you walk into the bedroom and unlock when you leave. There is nothing to switch on and no subscription to pay.
Yes. Loftie's daylight saving page says its clocks adjust the time automatically, as long as they are connected to Wi-Fi. So the Loftie is one of the few bedside clocks you do not have to touch at 2am on the last Sunday in October.
However, it does need Wi-Fi for that. Loftie says Wi-Fi is required for setup and software updates, and after that you can turn on No Wi-Fi Mode. In No Wi-Fi Mode, you would change the time yourself.

Loftie sells the clock direct, with free worldwide shipping. The list price is £139.99 for black and red shell and £159.99 for the other finishes, which run from white and coffee to chrome, penny, rose gold and sage. In addition, Loftie runs regular offers. On 13 October 2026, for example, the black clock was £119 with a free Loftie Card, a £49.99 card that unlocks lifetime Loftie+.
Loftie says international orders can be returned within 30 days of delivery. It also says it will replace or refund a clock that arrives damaged or stops working.
The Loftie suits anyone who uses their phone as an alarm and then scrolls in bed. It replaces the alarm, the white noise app and the nightlight in one object. Of the wake-up clocks I cover, it is the one I prefer to Lumie's light-based clocks. For a more playful bedside, the Nintendo Alarmo also sets its time over the internet.
On the other hand, it is not a sunrise alarm. Loftie says so itself, and points people who want to wake to light towards its separate Loftie Lamp. It also needs to stay plugged in, because the backup battery only lasts a few hours. Finally, the clock face shows the time and little else, so if you want a screen with the weather and smart home controls, the Amazon Echo Spot has both and was £44.99 on Amazon when I checked.
No. Loftie says the alarm, the 100+ sounds, the nightlight, Bed Signal, Drift and the app are all included in the price.
Only for setup and software updates. After that, you can switch on No Wi-Fi Mode. However, the automatic clock change relies on the Wi-Fi connection.
Yes. Loftie says the clock comes with a USB-C cable and a power adapter that works in the UK.
No. The nightlight can come on with your alarm, but the clock does not simulate a sunrise. Instead, Loftie sells the Loftie Lamp for that.
From £139.99 at Loftie, with most finishes at £159.99. Loftie also runs offers, and the black clock was £119 when I checked on 13 October 2026.
