Petit Pli Versatile Bottoms for Babies

Last updated: 24 October 2026

Petit Pli Versatile Bottoms are pleated trousers that grow with your child, made from patented ripstop spun from recycled bottles. The TinyHuman size for babies from 0 to 12 months costs £60 and grows through four sizes, which Petit Pli prices at £15 per size. New customers get £20 off a first order of £60 or more through our link, so one pair comes to £40.

What Petit Pli Versatile Bottoms are

Petit Pli is a London material technology company, led by engineers and designers. Its trousers use a pleated fabric that opens out as a child grows, so the same pair keeps fitting as the waist and legs lengthen. Petit Pli calls them award-winning and says they grow through seven sizes across the full range.

For babies, the TinyHuman version covers 0 to 12 months. On a size chart that means a waist from 46 to 52cm and an outside leg from 23 to 47cm, from the smallest setting to fully grown.

What they do

  • Grow with your child: the pleats open out, so one pair covers four baby sizes in TinyHuman.
  • Shrug off weather: the recycled ripstop has a water-repellent finish that is free of fluorocarbons.
  • Move with them: Petit Pli designs them for crawling, climbing and clambering.
  • Wash easily: a gentle 30°C wash, laid flat to dry.

Who Petit Pli Versatile Bottoms suit

  • New parents: one pair covers 0 to 12 months, where ordinary trousers come in four separate sizes.
  • Gift buyers: sizing a present for a newborn is guesswork, and clothes that grow take some of the risk out of it.
  • Outdoor families: the ripstop is splashproof for buggy walks and muddy parks.

Our Petit Pli discount code page explains how the £20 offer works step by step.

The limits

£60 is a lot for baby trousers. The case for them is that one pair replaces up to four sizes in the TinyHuman range, and the code takes £20 off a first order.

The care is fussier than cotton. Fabric softener stops the water-repellent finish working, and they cannot go in the tumble dryer.

Colours sell out. Seven of the twelve TinyHuman colours were unavailable on Petit Pli's shop, so pick a size first and then see what is left.

The water-repellent finish fades with wear and washing. Petit Pli suggests a reproofing spray once rain stops beading on the fabric.

Where to buy Petit Pli Versatile Bottoms in the UK

Petit Pli sells them direct from its UK shop, and the size guide and care details are on the Petit Pli Versatile Bottoms page. Our referral link takes you to the same shop with the £20 offer applied.
