Simba AeroDown Pillow

Last updated: 12 October 2026

What the Simba AeroDown pillow is

The AeroDown is Simba's soft pillow, made by the British sleep company Simba Sleep. Inside is Simba Renew Bio, a fill of airy clusters that includes fibres from recycled plastic bottles. Simba says it gives the cushioned feel of down without any feathers.

One side of the cotton cover carries Stratos, a finish that Simba says absorbs heat and moves moisture away. Simba quotes testing by the Swiss textile firm HeiQ in November 2020, which found Stratos fabric up to 3°C cooler than untreated fabric.

The Simba referral offer

Simba's refer-a-friend scheme, run by Mention Me, gives a new customer two free AeroDown pillows. The first order has to come to £300 or more in a single basket. Simba values the pair at £120.

The reward lasts one month from when it is issued, and Simba says the pillows may arrive separately from the rest of the order. Returning the order cancels the reward. Simba can change or end the offer at any time, so check the terms on the sign-up page before you buy.

Who the AeroDown pillow suits

• Hot sleepers: the Stratos side is there to stop heat building up under your head.
• People who avoid feathers: the fill is synthetic, so there is no down or feather in it.
• Anyone buying a Simba mattress: an order over £300 through the referral link brings two of these for nothing.

If you are weighing up the mattress too, our Simba mattress review covers how the Hybrid range sleeps.

The limits of the AeroDown pillow

The height is fixed. Unlike Simba's Hybrid pillow, the AeroDown has no removable layers, so you cannot make it higher or firmer.

Only one side of the cover has the cooling finish, so you only get the benefit when that side faces up. The 3°C figure comes from Simba's own testing partner, not an independent lab.

Amazon reviews are mixed. When I looked, the Amazon listing showed 3.2 out of 5 from 21 ratings, which is a small sample.

Where to buy the Simba AeroDown pillow in the UK

Amazon UK sells it at £60, shipped and sold by Simba Sleep. Simba's own shop charges the same, with free next-day delivery to most UK postcodes on orders placed before 1pm. The full specification is on Simba's AeroDown pillow page.
