Key features of Robinhood UK

Commission-free US stock trading. Buy and sell thousands of US-listed stocks and ADRs without paying any trading commission. This makes Robinhood one of the lower-cost ways for UK investors to access US markets.

Low FX fees. Currency conversions are charged at 0.1% during US FX market hours, rising to 0.3% on Friday evenings (17:00 to 21:00 ET). You can also hold and manage both GBP and USD in your account, converting only when it suits you.

Fractional shares. Invest from as little as $1, meaning you can buy a piece of high-priced stocks like Apple or Amazon without needing hundreds of dollars upfront.

Stocks and Shares ISA. Launched in February 2026, the Robinhood ISA gives UK investors tax-efficient access to around 5,000 US-listed stocks and ADRs. There are no platform fees and no commissions. Robinhood is currently offering a 2% cash bonus on eligible new ISA contributions made before 21 July 2026, up to a maximum of £400. Contributions must be held for one year to keep the full bonus. ISA transfers from other providers do not qualify for the bonus. See Robinhood's ISA page for full terms.

Interest on uninvested cash. Robinhood Gold members can earn 3.35% AER on uninvested US dollars, with FDIC deposit insurance coverage up to $2.5 million. Rates may change.

Advanced tools. Robinhood Legend is the desktop trading platform with advanced charting and over 80 technical indicators. The AI-powered Cortex Digests tool provides real-time context on stock movements.

What Robinhood UK does not offer

It is worth noting some limitations. As of June 2026, Robinhood UK does not offer UK-listed shares, mutual funds, bonds, or ETF purchases. The platform is focused exclusively on US-listed equities and ADRs. There is also no FSCS protection on investments, though US protections through SIPC apply to eligible securities. If you want a broader range of UK investments, platforms like Freetrade or Trading 212 may be worth comparing.

Referral limits and tax

You can refer as many friends as you like, but the total value of rewards is capped at $1,500 per household per year. Reward stock is subject to US Non-Resident Alien (NRA) withholding tax at 30%. Robinhood handles this automatically. For example, a $7 net reward means $10 was originally allocated ($7 stock + $3 withholding tax). This will appear on your annual IRS Form 1042-S.

Is Robinhood UK regulated?

Yes. Robinhood U.K. Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 823590). It is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09908051). Order routing, execution, clearing, and settlement are handled by Robinhood Securities, LLC, which is regulated in the US by the SEC and FINRA.

Capital at risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invested. The links on this page are referral links.
