Olivia Guillot is the French-British painter on the Tracey Emin Artist Residency in Margate, making large canvases that hover between clarity and blur. Here you will find our take on her work and where she has shown.
Our take on Olivia Guillot
Guillot graduated from the University of Brighton in 2024 and has been based at TKE Studios in Margate since 2025, as an artist in residence on the Tracey Emin Artist Residency.
Her own statement says her practice “examines perception and the sensory experience of space”, and does not sit neatly within abstraction or figuration. Her 2026 oils on canvas are large: Through the bridge of our arms is 185 x 320 cm (72.8 x 126 in).
Her first London solo, In between blinks, was in Gathering’s GLASSHOUSE project space in spring 2026. Nothing is listed for sale; enquiries go through her site.
