The eero 6 mesh wifi 3-pack is one router and two extenders that spread a single Wi-Fi 6 network across your home. Amazon owns eero, and this is the cheapest system in its range. The set covers up to 420 m² and handles 75 or more devices. Over wifi it tops out at 500 Mbps. The UK list price is £229.99, and it was £149.99 on Amazon UK when I checked on 2 October 2026.

A normal router sits in one corner of the house, so the signal fades by the time it reaches the far bedroom. A mesh system fixes that with several small units. You plug the router into your broadband and place the extenders around the house. Together they act as one network with one name and one password. Your phone then hops between them as you move.
The eero 6 came out in 2020 as eero's first Wi-Fi 6 system. Since then eero has added the eero 6+, the Pro 6E and the Wi-Fi 7 models above it. Even so, the eero 6 is still on sale, and it is now the entry point to the range.
Coverage: Each unit covers about 140 m² (1,500 sq ft, according to eero). So the 3-pack reaches up to 420 m², which is plenty for most UK houses and flats.
Speed: The units are dual-band Wi-Fi 6, with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios. As a result, eero quotes wireless speeds of up to 500 Mbps and up to 900 Mbps over a cable.
Capacity: Wi-Fi 6 copes better with lots of devices at once. The system supports 75 or more phones, laptops, TVs and smart plugs.
Smart home hub: The eero 6 has a Zigbee hub built in. That means it can connect compatible lights, locks and plugs to Alexa without a separate bridge.
Setup and the app: You set it up and run it from the eero app on iOS or Android. The app shows every connected device and lets you pause the internet for any of them. It also sets up a guest network in a couple of taps.
Updates and security: eero pushes software updates automatically, without dropping your connection. It supports WPA3 and includes parental controls.
Size: Each unit measures 99.4 x 97.0 x 61.5 mm, so it fits on a bookshelf.
The full specification sheet is on eero's own eero 6 page.
eero is not a modem. Instead, the router plugs into the router your broadband provider sent you, or into a full-fibre box, with an Ethernet cable. Your provider's router keeps the internet connection. Meanwhile, the eero 6 takes over the wifi around the house. After that, you can switch off the wifi on the provider's router so the two networks do not compete.

The 500 Mbps wireless ceiling is the big limit. On a full-fibre line of 500 Mbps or more, the eero 6 will hold back the speed you pay for. In that case the eero 6+ or one of the Wi-Fi 7 models is the better match.
The eero 6 is also dual-band only. So the units share their bandwidth between talking to your devices and talking to each other. Tri-band models such as the Pro 6E set aside a separate radio for that link. That keeps speeds higher in the far rooms.
Finally, the Amazon UK price moves around. On 2 October 2026 it was £80 below the £229.99 list price, so check the current price before you buy.
