Progress Pride Rainbow Lanyard

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This rainbow lanyard carries the Progress Pride flag, so your work pass, keys or phone show your support every day. It has a detachable buckle clip, a phone loop and a safety breakaway at the neck. On 25 October 2026 Amazon UK had it at £5.99, in stock and dispatched by Amazon.

What the rainbow lanyard is

PAC Supplies Global makes this lanyard, and the Progress Pride flag runs along its full length. The designer Daniel Quasar created that flag in 2018. It adds a chevron to the six-stripe rainbow: white, light blue and pink for trans people, plus brown and black for people of colour.

So the lanyard says more than a plain rainbow strap does. Anyone who reads your badge also sees that your support includes trans people and people of colour.

What it does

  • Buckle clip: the lower section unclips, so you can hold your pass to a reader without taking the lanyard off.
  • Phone loop: a small cord loop also takes a phone or a key fob, as well as a card.
  • Safety breakaway: the strap comes apart at the neck under a hard pull, for example when it catches on a door handle.
  • Metal clip: meanwhile, the end clip holds an ID card holder or a set of keys.

Key facts

  • Price: £5.99 on Amazon UK
  • Design: the Progress Pride flag, printed along the strap
  • Fittings: detachable buckle clip, phone loop, safety breakaway and metal clip
  • Weight: 20g, about the same as four sheets of A4 paper

  • Made in: China
  • Amazon rating: 4.5 out of 5 from 63 ratings

Who a Progress Pride lanyard suits

  • Anyone with a daily work or college pass: the lanyard goes wherever the pass goes, so people see the flag at your desk, in meetings and on the train.
  • Staff networks and Pride groups: at £5.99 each, a team can buy a set for a Pride event without a big budget.
  • Students: because of the buckle and the phone loop, a student card, keys and a phone stay together.

The limits

Amazon's listing gives no length or strap width. I struggled to find the exact size anywhere else, so check it against your current lanyard when it arrives.

The listing also does not mention a card holder. If you wear a pass in a plastic sleeve, keep your old sleeve or buy a holder separately.

It is also hand wash only. So a lanyard you wear every day needs a rinse in the sink rather than the machine.

Finally, 63 ratings is a small sample. The 4.5 average is encouraging, but it is not a long track record.

Where to buy the rainbow lanyard in the UK

Amazon UK sells it through PAC Supplies Global, and Amazon handles the dispatch. The Progress Pride flag entry on Wikipedia explains each colour on the strap and the history of Quasar's design.

FAQs

How much is the Progress Pride rainbow lanyard?

It costs £5.99 on Amazon UK, which also handles the dispatch. Prices change, so check the button above for today's figure.

What do the colours on the Progress Pride flag mean?

The six rainbow stripes stand for the wider LGBTQ+ community. The chevron adds white, light blue and pink for trans people, and brown and black for people of colour.

Does the lanyard have a safety breakaway?

Yes. The strap separates at the neck under a hard pull. So it lets go if it catches on something.

Can I attach a phone to the lanyard?

Yes. A small cord loop near the buckle takes a phone strap, and it also fits a key fob.

Can I put the rainbow lanyard in the washing machine?

No. The listing says hand wash only, so rinse it by hand instead.
