What are the Sonos Ace headphones?
The Sonos Ace are wireless Bluetooth 5.4 over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation, spatial audio with Dolby Atmos and dynamic head tracking, and aptX Lossless support. They feature custom 40mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth Multipoint for connecting two devices at once, wearer detection that pauses playback when you take them off, and magnetic, replaceable memory foam ear cushions wrapped in vegan leather.
Their standout feature is TV Audio Swap, which lets you instantly move audio from a compatible Sonos soundbar (Arc Ultra, Arc, Beam, or Ray) to the headphones at the press of a button. Pair two sets of Sonos Ace for shared viewing, and the TrueCinema feature maps your room to create a virtual surround sound experience through the headphones. Nothing else on the market does this.

Sound: Custom 40mm dynamic drivers with a ported acoustic architecture designed to enhance bass response. Supports lossless audio via Bluetooth (aptX Lossless) and USB-C (Apple Lossless Audio Codec). Spatial audio with Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio is available from Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and Deezer.
Active noise cancellation: Uses an array of microphones across both ear cups to block ambient noise. Aware mode blends external sound with your content so you can stay aware of your surroundings when needed.
Battery life: Up to 30 hours with ANC enabled, or 24 hours of call time. A 3-minute quick charge delivers roughly 3 hours of playback. Full charge from flat takes around 2-3 hours via USB-C.
Comfort and design: A hinge-free stainless steel headband distributes weight evenly, and the memory foam ear cushions create a plush seal without excessive pressure. Sonos tested the Ace across different head shapes, hairstyles, and accessories including glasses. Available in Black and Soft White, with a contrasting colour inside the right ear cup so you can tell which side is which at a glance.
Controls: Physical controls rather than touch panels. The Content Key slides for volume and clicks for playback and calls. A dedicated Noise Control button switches between ANC and Aware mode.
TV Audio Swap: Press the Content Key to swap sound from a compatible Sonos soundbar to the Ace. Works with Arc Ultra, Arc, Beam (Gen 1 and Gen 2), and Ray. Connect two pairs of Sonos Ace for shared listening.
