Tuck is a UK cashback app that sells digital cashback cards for 265 brands, including Tesco, ASDA, Nando's and John Lewis. You buy a card for the amount you are about to spend. The cashback lands in your Tuck wallet as soon as Tuck issues the card. Supermarket rates sit around 4%, and restaurant chains often pay 8% to 12%. Sign up with our Tuck referral code STIVE22 and spend £10 in the app, and you get up to £3 in bonus cashback.
Make that first purchase quickly. Tuck reduces the referral bonus if your first purchase comes more than 48 hours after you download the app. New users also get a separate welcome bonus, and its size changes with Tuck's current promotion. To get it, verify your account and make a first purchase over £10 within 24 hours of downloading.
Once you have joined, you get your own code too. You can earn bonus cashback for up to 10 friends.
Tuck sells digital gift cards that it calls cashback cards. Each card works at one retailer. You pay for it in the app with Apple Pay, Google Pay or an instant bank payment. Tuck then adds the cashback to your wallet straight away. Paying by instant bank payment earns a little extra cashback.
In a shop, you show the barcode at the till or add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Online, you copy the card number and PIN into the retailer's checkout, in the box for gift cards or vouchers.
The money comes from the retailer. Each brand pays Tuck a commission on the cards it sells, and Tuck passes that on to you as cashback.
I checked these rates on Tuck's brand list on 8 October 2026. They are "up to" figures, and Tuck changes them often.
| Retailer | Cashback | Where the card works |
|---|---|---|
| Tesco | Up to 4% | In store |
| ASDA | Up to 4% | Online and in store |
| Sainsbury's | Up to 4.25% | Online and in store |
| Morrisons | Up to 4% | In store |
| Waitrose | Up to 5.65% | Online and in store |
| Aldi | Up to 3.60% | Online and in store |
| Marks and Spencer | Up to 3.60% | In store |
| John Lewis & Partners | Up to 5.65% | Online and in store |
| Boots | Up to 5.50% | Online and in store |
| Nando's | Up to 8% | In store |
| Greggs | Up to 8.25% | In store |
| Costa | Up to 10% | In store |
| Amazon | Up to 3.75% | Online |
| IKEA | Up to 5.50% | Online and in store |
On a £100 weekly shop at Tesco, 4% is £4 a week, or £208 over a year. Tesco cards only work at the till, though. Tuck's own Tesco guide rules out online orders and Tesco petrol stations.
For more ways to cut the food bill, our guide to cashback on groceries in the UK covers the supermarket options side by side.
Tuck needs £10 in your wallet before you can redeem it. After that you have two options:
Your cashback can expire. Standard cashback expires six months after Tuck awards it if you don't buy a cashback card in that time. Bonus cashback, including the referral bonus, expires six months after it is awarded whether you use the app or not. So spend or withdraw a bonus within six months.
Cards can't be refunded. Once Tuck issues a card, you can't cancel, return or exchange it, except in rare cases the brand agrees to. So buy the card at the till for the amount you are about to pay, rather than in advance.
Part-spent balances don't update themselves. If you only use part of a card, you have to enter the remaining balance in the app by hand. Otherwise you lose track of what is left.
Some cards only work in store. Tesco, Morrisons, Marks and Spencer, Nando's and Costa are all till-only. Check the online and in-store labels on each brand before you rely on one.
Tuck isn't a bank. Its terms say it does not run a custodial or banking service. That means cashback in your wallet is not a deposit protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Withdrawing once you pass £10 keeps the amount you are owed small.
JamDoughnut works the same way, with gift cards bought in the app and cashback paid when you buy. Our JamDoughnut referral code page has its offer and rates if you want to compare the two for your regular shops.
Cashback sites such as TopCashback and Quidco pay out later. You click through to a retailer, and the cashback only pays out once the retailer confirms the purchase, which can take weeks. Tuck pays as soon as you buy the card, but you have to buy the card first.
Our guide to the best cashback apps in the UK sets the main options next to each other.
Our Tuck referral code is STIVE22. Enter it when you sign up, then spend £10 in the app. You get up to £3 in bonus cashback within three to five days. I checked these referral terms on 8 October 2026.
Tuck is run by Tuck Technology Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 12857517. The app has been on the UK App Store since 2021 and is rated 4.7 out of 5 from more than 1,000 ratings.
Yes, in store only, at up to 4% cashback. You show the card's barcode at the till. It doesn't work for Tesco online orders or at Tesco petrol stations.
£10. A bank withdrawal costs £0.30 and takes three to five days. Taking it as a new cashback card is instant and free, and Tuck adds extra cashback.
Yes. Standard cashback expires after six months if you don't buy a cashback card in that time. Bonus cashback expires six months after it is awarded, whatever you do.
It changes with Tuck's current promotion. To get it, verify your account and spend over £10 within 24 hours of downloading the app.
Cashback rates, bonuses and terms change, so check the app before you buy a card. This page is not financial advice, and if you are unsure about a money decision, speak to a qualified adviser.
