Airtime Rewards is a UK cashback app that turns your spending at more than 200 partner retailers into credit off your mobile bill. You link up to 10 Visa or Mastercard cards, shop as normal at brands such as Boots, Argos and IKEA, and the app tracks the purchases for you. Once you have £10 of cleared rewards, you can take it off a pay monthly bill or a pay-as-you-go top-up. To redeem against your bill you need to be with O2, EE, Three, Vodafone or giffgaff. Download Airtime for free and earn up to a £5 bonus with our code YHR79JYH when you join and spend £5 within 7 days. The invite link doesn't add the code for you, so copy it below and enter it under Promotions in the app.
Airtime uses card-linking. When you pay a partner retailer with a linked card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, Airtime sees that one transaction and works out your reward. You do not click through a link, activate an offer or scan a receipt first.
Purchases can take up to 14 days to reach the app. After that the reward sits in a pending balance while the retailer's refund window runs. Airtime says this is often 35 days, and it can stretch to 90 days for some brands. Once the pending period ends, the reward moves into your current balance and you can redeem it.
Your redemption then shows on your next generated phone bill. If your bill for the month has already been produced, the credit lands on the following one instead.
For Stiv's view after years of using the app, read our Airtime Rewards review.
Airtime stopped taking new members on unsupported networks on 23 October 2025. So if you are with Smarty, iD Mobile, Tesco Mobile, Sky Mobile, Voxi or another network outside the list, you cannot join. Members who joined before that date and moved to an unsupported network can only withdraw to their card or gift their rewards, and charges may apply.
American Express, PayPal and store cards are not supported, because the app only links Visa and Mastercard.
The wait is long. With up to 14 days for tracking and a pending period of 35 to 90 days, a reward can take three months or more to become usable.
Your balance can expire. If you do not use the app for 180 days, Airtime can treat you as inactive and your rewards balance expires.
Offers change without notice. Brands can pause or end their offers, and Airtime says not every member sees the same offers.
Download the free app from the UK App Store or Google Play, then link a card. The full rules on networks, pending periods and inactivity are in the Airtime terms and conditions, and the Airtime FAQs cover tracking and redemption.
If you want to compare it with other apps first, our guide to cashback apps in the UK puts Airtime next to the main alternatives.

Yes. Airtime tracks the card you pay with rather than a click-through link, so you can use a cashback site on the same purchase.
