Girls Just Wanna Have Funds is a beginner's guide to investing written for women. Its authors are Camilla Falkenberg, Emma Due Bitz and Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen, the three founders of Female Invest. DK published the 192-page hardback on 29 December 2022, and the cover calls it a Sunday Times bestseller. The RRP is £14.99. On 7 October 2026 Amazon UK had the hardback at £9.26, in stock and sold by Amazon.

The three authors founded Female Invest, a money education company for women that now runs a money app. The book grew out of that work. The publisher's description calls it a five-step guide, and its message is that you don't need to be an expert or a millionaire to start investing.
The book is aimed at people who have never invested. It starts with the gap between what women and men earn, and then moves on to setting goals and building savings. After that, it explains the jargon and how markets work. It also makes the case for a pot of money that gives you independence, which the authors name with a swear word.
It was also our Book of the Month for September 2026. Our Girls Just Wanna Have Funds review covers what we made of it.
The book is written for readers around the world rather than for the UK. The publisher's description talks about starting with a $1 savings fund. As a result, it does not go into ISAs, the Lifetime ISA or pension tax relief in the depth a UK reader needs.
It also stays at beginner level. If you already invest, much of it will be familiar.
Investing carries risk. Capital at risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invested. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Tax treatment depends on the individual circumstances of each client and may be subject to change in future.
On 7 October 2026 Amazon UK had the hardback at £9.26, against the £14.99 RRP, sold and dispatched by Amazon. The Kindle edition was £6.99 and the audiobook £5.99. For free, impartial UK guidance, the government-backed MoneyHelper investing guides fill in the UK tax rules the book skips.
