Native Union Belt Cable

Last updated: 23 October 2026

The Native Union Belt Cable is a 1.2m braided charging cable with a leather strap that wraps round the coil, so it stays tidy in a bag or a drawer. The USB-C to USB-C version charges at up to 60W, and Native Union also makes it in Lightning and USB-A versions. It costs £16.99 from Native Union, and on 23 October 2026 Amazon UK had the Kraft colour at the same price.

What the Native Union Belt Cable is

Native Union is a design-led brand that makes cables, chargers and phone cases. The Belt Cable is its everyday charging cable. You coil it, wrap the leather strap round the coil and it stays put.

Nolii's Loop cable did a similar job with a silicone loop and a weighted dock, but Nolii's website is down and I struggled to find the Loop on sale. So the Belt Cable is the closest tangle-free cable sold new in the UK.

What it does

  • Stays tidy: the leather strap holds the coiled cable together and slides along it when you need the full length.
  • Charges quickly: the USB-C to USB-C version supports Power Delivery up to 60W with a compatible charger.
  • Survives daily use: reinforced braiding and an aramid fibre core resist fraying and bending.
  • Uses recycled materials: recycled PET braiding, a recycled TPU housing and a strap made with 75% recycled bonded leather.

Who the Belt Cable suits

  • Commuters: the strapped coil goes in a bag without knotting round your keys and headphones.

  • Gift buyers on a budget: it comes in under £20.

The limits

There is no weight to keep it on a desk or bedside table. For that, Native Union's Anchor Cable has a weighted knot, at a higher price.

At 1.2m it is a standard length. It will not reach from a socket behind the bed to your pillow as easily as a 2m or 3m cable.

The 60W limit covers phones, tablets and smaller laptops. Larger laptops that draw more power will charge more slowly on it.

Where to buy the Native Union Belt Cable in the UK

Amazon UK sells the Kraft USB-C version, sold by Native Union, at the same £16.99 as Native Union's own shop. Native Union's Belt Cable page lists every colour and the other connector versions.
