Bodum Pavina double wall glasses are mouth-blown borosilicate tumblers with a layer of air between two walls of glass, so a hot coffee stays hot and the outside stays cool enough to hold. How the double wall works
Each glass is two thin walls of borosilicate glass sealed together with a gap between them. The trapped air slows heat moving through the glass, so the drink keeps its temperature for longer and your fingers do not get burnt.
Cold drinks work the same way in reverse. Because the outer wall stays at room temperature, an iced coffee or a gin and tonic does not leave a ring of condensation on the table.
There is a small silicone vent in the base. Bodum says it balances the air pressure between the two layers when you pour in something very hot or very cold.
What you can put them through
Bodum says Pavina glasses are safe in the dishwasher, the microwave, the freezer and the oven up to 180°C. That means you can warm milk in one or chill a dessert in it, as well as drink from it.
Borosilicate glass is the heat-resistant type used for lab glassware and cafetière jugs. It copes with sudden temperature changes much better than ordinary glass, though Bodum lists it as not shatterproof.

The limits
The walls are thin, and Bodum lists the glasses as not shatterproof. They need more care than a chunky tumbler, so they are a poor choice for young children or for picnics.
Bodum says to wash them in warm soapy water before first use and dry them thoroughly. After that, hand washing and the dishwasher are both fine.
Delivery on the Amazon listing was not fast on 4 October 2026. Free Prime delivery was quoted for 13 October, so order early if it is for a birthday.
