The Theragun Prime is Therabody's mid-range massage gun, now in its 6th generation, with five speeds, a triangle handle and up to two hours of battery. Therabody lists it at £299, and both Therabody UK and Amazon UK had it at £229 when I checked the prices and stock on 12 October 2026.

What the Theragun Prime is
Therabody makes the Theragun range of percussive massage guns. A percussive gun taps the muscle in fast, repeated strokes, rather than just vibrating the skin. The Prime sits above the small Theragun Mini and below the Prime Plus, which costs £399 and adds heat.
Therabody built the 6th generation with a rugged body and says it survives drops from up to 10 feet. One button runs the five speeds, and the gun shows in real time how hard you are pressing, so you can keep to the right intensity.
What the Theragun Prime does

The limits of the Theragun Prime
Only two heads come in the box. Athletech News points out that the 5th generation came with more, so any other heads are an extra cost.
At 907g it is a full-size gun. For a gym bag or travel, the Theragun Mini is the smaller option.
The screen on the gun is basic, so you need the app to see routines and plans. Heat is only on the £399 Prime Plus.
Amazon reviews are mixed. When I looked, the listing showed 3.8 out of 5 from 24 ratings, against 4.7 from 61 reviews on Therabody's own shop.
