Amazon Music Unlimited is Amazon's full music streaming plan: 100 million songs on demand, with no adverts, offline downloads and HD and spatial audio. In the UK the individual plan costs £11.99 a month with Prime or £12.99 without. A family plan for up to six people is £21.99 a month. Until 9 October 2026 new subscribers get four months free with Prime or three months without, according to Amazon's sign-up page.

Amazon runs three levels of music streaming. Amazon Music Free plays a shuffled, ad-supported selection to anyone with an Amazon account. Prime members also get Amazon Music Prime, which drops the adverts but still mostly plays in shuffle. Amazon Music Unlimited is the paid upgrade, and it works like Spotify or Apple Music: you pick any song, album or playlist and play it straight away.
All prices include VAT and were checked on amazon.co.uk on 2 October 2026. Amazon last raised its UK prices in early 2026, so check the sign-up page before you commit.
The whole catalogue on demand: 100 million songs, with unlimited skips and no adverts.
HD and spatial audio: Tracks stream in HD and Ultra HD at no extra cost, and a selection plays in spatial audio. As a result, it suits speakers built for Dolby Atmos, such as the Amazon Echo Studio.
Downloads: You can save songs to your phone and listen offline.
Podcasts and audiobooks: Top podcasts play without adverts. On top of that, Amazon says the plan includes one audiobook a month from the Audible catalogue, as set out in Amazon's own UK guide to its music plans.
Alexa: On an Echo speaker you can ask for any song by name, rather than settling for a station.
From 15 September to 9 October 2026, new subscribers get the individual plan free for four months with Prime, or three months without. After that it renews at £11.99 or £12.99 a month until you cancel. So if you only want to try it, set a reminder to cancel before the trial ends. The offer is not open to anyone who has already had a trial or a paid subscription.
Prime members already have Amazon Music Prime, so check whether shuffle play is enough before paying more. Meanwhile, the family plan has risen to £21.99, which is a big step up from the individual price.
Your playlists also stay inside Amazon Music. If you leave for another service, you will need a transfer tool to take them with you.
When I compared it with Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and Tidal, I found little difference in how the music sounded. What decided it for me was the app and how well it works with an Echo.
