Most sustainable gift guides are lists of things nobody actually wants. Refillable washing-up liquid. A bamboo cutlery set in a hemp pouch. A "zero-waste starter kit" that ends up at the back of a drawer by February. We have spent the last year quietly testing a different kind of list, and these are the best sustainable gifts UK shoppers can actually buy in 2026 without apologising for the wrapping. We have organised them by person and by price, not by room, because nobody shops by room.
Inside you will find ceramic mugs you would steal from a friend, a refurbished iPad that costs half the new price, an apron made in Blackburn, a snake plant from a London nursery, a Hockney postcard set from Saltaire, and a body scrub made from coffee grounds rescued from cafés. Some are under £20. One is over £400. All of them pass the same test: would the person opening it be genuinely pleased, not politely pleased.

We only ever recommend products we have used, tested, or would buy ourselves. Nothing in this guide is paid placement, and brands do not see the copy before publication.

Most mobile networks spend their marketing budget shouting about unlimited data and free Spotify. Honest Mobile spends theirs planting trees and donating to charity. After four months using it as our daily SIM, here's our Honest Mobile review, covering signal, pricing, the app, and whether the ethical angle comes at the cost of actually being a good network.
Our Honest Mobile referral page has the sign-up link and any current offer.

Five years ago, a vegan BBQ meant a sad portobello mushroom and some hummus on the side. In 2026, the best vegan BBQ recipes UK cooks are firing up include smoky jackfruit pulled pork, plant-based burgers that genuinely fool meat-eaters, and marinades that would make a pitmaster jealous. Whether you are fully plant-based or just want to mix things up this summer, these recipes prove that the grill is no longer meat-only territory.
We know this because we tested it ourselves. Last summer, the CoolCuration team held a fully plant-based BBQ. Some of us are vegan, some definitely are not, but every single person went back for seconds. What follows is everything we cooked, everything we learnt, and a few shortcuts if you want brilliant results without the effort.

This AKT deodorant review is the result of three natural deodorants in two years. The first one gave me lumps. The second gave me a rash so bad I thought it was a skin infection. The third, AKT, has done neither. Ten weeks and three scents in, I've found the one I'm sticking with. Here's the full story of how I ended up rubbing a balm from an aluminium tube onto my armpits, testing half the range, and actually being happy about it.

The April 2026 energy price cap has been confirmed by Ofgem at £1,641 per year for a typical dual-fuel household, down £117 (6.6%) from the Q1 level of £1,758. That is a genuine saving. However, the relief looks set to be short-lived. Cornwall Insight now forecasts the July cap could rise to £1,973, an increase of £332 in a single quarter. So the next few weeks are a critical window for reviewing your tariff.

Best starting point: the Starter Bundle is usually the easiest first purchase because it gives you the core setup plus on-the-go minis, and it often appears in Wype’s bundle promos.
