Capital at risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invested. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

Our Plum referral code is built into the invite link below, so there is nothing to type in. Plum is a UK app that moves money into savings for you with automatic rules, and it also offers a Cash ISA, a Lifetime ISA, investing and a pension. The Basic plan is free, and the paid plans cost £3.99 to £14.99 a month, with the first month free. Plum says over 2 million people use it. On 6 October 2026 Plum's invite page did not list a new-member bonus, so check the app for any current offer before you rely on one.

How the Plum referral code works

Open our link on your phone and download Plum from there. The referral is tracked through the link, so you do not need to enter a code during sign-up.

Plum runs refer-a-friend offers from time to time, and the reward and conditions change with each one. When an offer is running, the app shows the terms before you meet them. Read those terms before you deposit, because they set what you have to do to qualify.

What Plum does

Plum connects to your current account through Open Banking with read-only access. You then pick automations, such as rounding up your spending or saving a set amount on payday, and Plum moves the money into your Plum pockets. The free Basic plan includes 6 automations, and the paid plans include 10.

Alongside saving, Plum offers these accounts:

  • Plum Easy Access Savings Account: provided by Lloyds Bank plc, from 3.05% AER variable on Basic to 3.65% on Max.
  • 95 Day Notice Pocket: 3.87% AER variable, held with Investec Bank plc.
  • Cash ISA: 4.68% AER variable from 6 October 2026, including a 2.14% bonus if you keep the money in for 12 months and meet the other conditions. After that it drops to 2.54%.
  • Lifetime ISA: 4.69% AER variable from 28 September 2026, including a 1.58% bonus for 12 months, then 3.11%. A government withdrawal charge may apply if you take money out for anything other than a first home or retirement.
  • Plum Interest: a money market fund paying from 2.81% to 3.74% variable depending on the plan. It is an investment, not a savings account.
  • Investing: a Stocks and Shares ISA, which holds funds only, and a General Investment Account with about 3,000 shares.
  • Pension: a self-invested personal pension that can bring old workplace pensions together.

Plum plans and prices

  • Basic: free, with 6 automations and one savings pocket
  • Plus: £3.99 a month, 10 automations, 16 pockets and a 0.45% yearly investment fee
  • Boost: £7.99 a month and a 0.30% investment fee
  • Max: £14.99 a month, a 0.15% investment fee and unlimited free share trades

Basic also pays a 0.60% investment fee, plus a 0.60% currency fee on foreign shares. The pension fee is 0.45% a year on every plan. The paid plans are free for the first month, and Plum then charges the monthly fee unless you cancel or switch plan.

Capital at risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invested. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Tax treatment depends on the individual circumstances of each client and may be subject to change in future.

Is Plum safe?

Plum is two regulated companies. Plum Fintech Limited is registered with the FCA as an account information service provider, FRN 836158. Saveable Limited, which trades as Plum, is authorised for investments and credit broking, FRN 739214.

Protection depends on the product. Eligible deposits are protected up to £120,000 per eligible person per UK-authorised bank, building society or credit union by the FSCS (since 1 December 2025). For Plum, the Easy Access Savings Account sits with Lloyds Bank plc, the notice pocket with Investec Bank plc, and the Cash ISA with a panel of banks that includes Citibank, Qatar National Bank and Lloyds. Money you already hold at any of those banks counts towards the same £120,000.

Money in your main Plum balance is e-money. It is safeguarded in segregated accounts, but it is not covered by the FSCS. Plum is moving that e-money from Modulr FS Limited to its own e-money firm, Plum Fintech Payments Limited (FRN 1023776), and new accounts open with it from October 2026. Eligible investments are protected up to £85,000 per person per FCA-authorised firm by the FSCS, which covers a firm failing rather than your investments falling in value. Plum's money protections page lists who holds each product.

Who Plum suits

  • People who find saving hard to start: the automations move small amounts without you deciding each time.
  • Savers who want an ISA in the same app: the Cash ISA and Lifetime ISA sit next to the savings pockets.
  • New investors: funds and shares sit in the same app, though the Basic and Plus fees are higher than on Max.

For Stiv's view after using the app, read our Plum app review. If you are choosing between apps, our Chip referral code page covers the £50 offer on a similar app.
