What the Wonder Oven is

Our Place started with cookware, and the Wonder Oven is its countertop appliance. It sits between an air fryer and a small oven, with two shelf levels and three dials for temperature, function and time.

The steam inlet sets it apart. You add one to two teaspoons of water, and the steam keeps food moist while the outside crisps. Expert Reviews found steamed frozen croissants came out fluffier and puffed up more than those baked without it.

What the Wonder Oven does

  • Six modes: air fry, bake, roast, toast, grill and reheat.
  • Steam infusion: a splash of water in the top inlet adds moisture during cooking.
  • Two levels: cook a main and a side at once.
  • Quick preheat: Our Place says it preheats in under 2.5 minutes to 190°C on Bake.
  • Made without PFAS: Our Place says the interior and the included accessories are made without PFAS, including PTFE.

Wonder Oven or Wonder Oven Pro?

Our Place also sells the Wonder Oven Pro at £295, checked on 12 October 2026. It is an eight-in-one model, so it adds two modes to the standard six. For most small kitchens, the standard 12 litre Wonder Oven covers the everyday jobs for less money.

Who the Wonder Oven suits

  • Couples and small households: Our Place pitches it at two to four people.
  • Small kitchens: its footprint is under 30cm by 27cm.
  • People who like dials: three knobs, no touchscreen and no app.
  • Anyone who reheats bread and pastries: the steam helps them come back soft inside.

The limits

The dials are hard to set precisely. Expert Reviews also found there is no display showing how much time is left.

The timer stops at 60 minutes, which is short for a slow roast. In addition, Expert Reviews' 1.6kg chicken took over an hour, against about 45 minutes in other air fryers.

The two trays sit close together, so thick cuts of meat can touch the shelf above. Finally, Expert Reviews noted that none of the parts are dishwasher safe.
