The Work Louder Knob1 is a low-profile mechanical keyboard in machined aluminium, with a narrow colour screen and two dials on its right-hand edge. It costs $439 before shipping, direct from Work Louder, which ships worldwide and offers a UK ISO layout.
It is the keyboard I type on every day. I checked the price, stock and specification on Work Louder's own page on 5 October 2026.
Work Louder is the studio behind the Creator Micro macropad, and the Knob1 is its full keyboard. The top and bottom shells are CNC-machined aluminium, the keycaps are dye-sublimated PBT, and the magnetic feet come off. The 3D artist Ben Fryc designed it.
On the right sits a 100 x 310 pixel colour screen with two rotary dials above it. You set what the screen shows and what the dials do in Work Louder's Input app, so a dial can change the volume in one app and scrub a video timeline in another.
The Knob1 is not on Amazon UK, so it comes direct from Work Louder, priced in US dollars. Anything over £135 sent from abroad also carries VAT payable to the delivery company before it is handed over, so budget for that and the courier's fee on top of the $439. Choose the UK ISO layout at checkout if you want a UK key arrangement.
The price is the first one. $439 before shipping and import VAT is a lot for a keyboard. The second is the battery: the 3000mAh cell is sealed inside, so when it wears out, the keyboard's wireless life goes with it. The screen is also not a touchscreen; you control it with the dials.
My Work Louder Knob1 review gives it 4/5 after daily use, and the Creator Micro that sits next to it is covered in my Figma Creator Micro review.
Work Louder sells it direct at worklouder.cc. For a keyboard you can buy from a UK shop today, my best desk accessories guide names the Logitech MX Keys S as the alternative.
