Last updated: 1 November 2026. I read every rate in this list of Sprive cashback shops off my own app, with Supercharge switched off. A boost was running on my account, so I took it back off the gift card rates.

By Stiv · Design, technology and personal finance

I have overpaid my mortgage through Sprive since October 2021, first with Nationwide and, since June 2026, with Halifax. Five years in, I still open the Shop tab before most bigger buys, and that is where this list comes from.

This article contains affiliate and referral links, which are paid links. If you click one and buy or sign up, I earn a commission or referral bonus at no extra cost to you. Brands don't choose what I feature or what I say about them.

This is not financial advice. It records what my own app showed, written from personal use.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

Sprive cashback shopsUpdated every fortnight

Every shop in Sprive's app, and what each one pays.

Most people assume Sprive is a supermarket app. It isn't. My list of Sprive cashback shops runs to 1,768 brands, from Harvester and HelloFresh to Wayfair, Swarovski and Virgin Media, and every penny of the cashback goes to your mortgage as an overpayment.

In fact, the supermarkets are some of the lowest payers in the app, at 1.9% to 2.5%. Restaurants and pubs pay far more: 15 of the 18 open in my app pay 8% or more. Below is the whole list, with a search box and filters, so you can check your own shops in a few seconds. After that, I update it every two weeks from my own app.

After the full Sprive picture? Every guide I have written on the app is collected in my Sprive guides hub.

Section 01 / The list

All 1,768 Sprive cashback shops and their rates

These are the standard rates from the "Everyday rewards" tab in my app on 1 November 2026, with Supercharge switched off. A boost was running, so I took it back off: one point on gift cards and half a point at Sainsbury's and Waitrose, which matched every brand I could check against September. Fresh readings with no boost go in at the next update.

Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, M&S, Morrisons, Waitrose, Iceland, Farmfoods and Ocado are in the app too. Seven pay between 1.9% and 2.5%, while Iceland and Morrisons show "Back soon". Their rates, and what they add up to on a weekly shop, are on my Sprive supermarkets page, so the table below covers the other 1,759.

What changed since my last check

• 1 Nov 2026. The app now lists 1,768 brands, up from 191, with new sections for food and drink, beauty, sport, gifts, garden, DIY, broadband and mobile, and insurance. A boost was running on my account, so gift card rates are shown with it taken off. Since September, B&Q fell from 6% to 3%, IHG from 9.6% to up to 1.9%, Shein from 19.2% to up to 9.6% and Liberty from 8% to 5%, while Wickes, Uber and Uber Eats rose to 5.5% and Very to up to 7.6%. Nando's, Greggs, Costa, ASOS, Nike, ODEON, Disney+, B&M, Iceland and Morrisons are among 28 brands showing "Back soon". All Bar One, O'Neill's, Naked Wines, Red Letter Days, buyagift and Co-op are now in the app. Where I have a referral page for a brand, the table links to it.
• 21 Sept 2026. First full read of the app: 191 brands in total, 182 of them outside the supermarkets. Compared with my August and early September checks, M&S fell from 3% to 2.5%, Iceland from 2% to 1.8% and AO from 1.9% to 1.6%. Morrisons appeared in my app for the first time, at 2.6%. The Food Warehouse no longer shows up. Meanwhile, Argos (3%), Currys (2%) and Philips (6.4%) are unchanged.

Section 02 / The finding

Where Sprive pays the most

The supermarkets most people join for sit near the bottom of the list. Eating out sits at the top.

Harvester, Toby Carvery, Miller & Carter, Browns, Sizzling Pub & Grill, All Bar One, O'Neill's and The Restaurant Card all pay 10%. Next, Pizza Hut pays 9%, and PizzaExpress, Prezzo and Turtle Bay pay 8%. By contrast, the supermarkets pay between 1.9% and 2.5%.

So a family meal can do more for your mortgage than a week of groceries. For example, a £60 meal at Harvester puts £6 towards the mortgage, while a £120 Tesco shop at 2.5% puts £3 towards it.

A £60 meal at Harvester puts £6 on my mortgage. A £120 Tesco shop puts £3 on it.

The highest rates in my app are Which? at up to 57.6%, FUL and Interrose at up to 32%, Temu and Findmypast at up to 25.6% and 2Gether Insurance at 22.4%. Among names most people shop with, Swarovski and Hostelworld pay 16%, and buyagift and Virgin Experience Days 15%. In the home section, Graham and Green at 9.6% and Wayfair at 7.5% pay the most, while B&Q has dropped to 3%.

At the other end, though, big tech pays the least. Currys pays 2.2%, AO up to 1.6%, and Dell and HP 1.2%. The exceptions are McAfee at 16%, Bitdefender at 12.8%, Zanussi at 9.6% and Philips, AEG and eufy at 6.4%. The lowest rates in the whole list are 0.6%, at brands such as Robert Dyas, LG and Trainline.

Across the 1,592 Sprive cashback shops in my table that pay a percentage, the middle rate is 3.8%. That puts it close to the 4% average that Sprive's own savings calculator assumes for shopping rewards. However, if most of your spending is groceries, expect nearer 2.5%.

Another 141 brands, mostly broadband, mobile, energy and insurance, pay a fixed amount instead of a percentage. The biggest are Uswitch and Confused.com broadband at £96, the Post Office and ManyPets at £89.60, Verisure and carwow at £64 and EE at £57.60. So if you are switching one of those, it is worth opening the app first.

Section 03 / Reading the numbers

How to read a Sprive cashback rate

The Shop tab shows three different kinds of figure, and only two of them are cashback.

• Everyday rewards. The standard rate, listed under "Instant-reward". Every figure in my table is this one, because it is the rate you get without a promotion.
• Preview a boost. A time-limited uplift on the cashback itself, from joining, a referral or a campaign. During the boost on my account in November, gift cards paid exactly one point more than usual, Sainsbury's and Waitrose half a point, and shop-online brands nothing extra. More on how that works in what a Sprive boost is.
• Supercharge. A toggle labelled "Supercharge rewards (incl. mortgage savings)". It adds in your mortgage savings prediction, but it doesn't give you any extra cashback.

Switch Supercharge off before you compare anything. For instance, Philips pays 6.4% with Supercharge off, and 6.4% is also exactly what Tesco showed with Supercharge on in August. So if someone sends you a screenshot of a rate, check the toggle in the corner before you believe it.

If you want to see the difference, I compare the Everyday and boosted supermarket rates side by side, with screenshots, in my Sprive supermarkets guide.

Section 04 / Online only

The catch with online-only shops

Of the 1,759 Sprive cashback shops in my table, 1,672 are online only. Many of them, including Philips and Ocado, use a route Sprive calls "Shop online". Others sell a gift card that you spend on the brand's website.

With "Shop online" there is no card at all. Instead, you tap through from the app to the brand's site and buy as normal. Three things follow from that:

• Cookies. You have to allow cookies on the brand's site, or the order does not track and you earn nothing. So turn off any cookie blocker first.
• One visit. Also, buy in the same visit you started from the app. If you leave and come back through Google, the link to Sprive is lost.
• The wait. The app told me the reward takes 105 days on average to arrive for both Philips and Ocado. That is over three months, so keep the order confirmation until the money shows up.

The brand's own screen in the app tells you which route it uses, so read it before you buy.

Section 05 / Paying

Gift cards, and the shops you can't use online

For most brands, you buy a gift card in the Shop tab and then pay with it. The cashback is worked out when you buy the card, not when you spend it. A few supermarkets also offer a reloadable card that tops itself up, which I explain in my guide to Sprive reloadable gift cards.

However, a handful of brands work differently. Primark and F&F at Tesco are in-store only. Jet2, by contrast, showed as phone only. Theatre Tokens and The Golf Gift Card work in-store and by phone, and Spabreaks.com online and by phone. So check how to redeem the card in the app before you buy one of these.

Also, a gift card does not carry the protection you get when you pay a shop directly with a credit card. On a small everyday purchase, though, that rarely matters. On a £900 sofa, on the other hand, weigh it against the cashback.

Section 06 / The gaps

Shops that are not in the app

Amazon is on Sprive's own FAQ brand list, but the only Amazon tile in my app is Amazon Music, at a fixed £4.40. Several brands I listed as missing in September have since arrived: Naked Wines, All Bar One, O'Neill's, The Travel Card, Red Letter Days and buyagift. Harvey Nichols is in too but shows "Back soon", and London Theatre Direct has a shop-online tile while its gift card is paused.

Aldi and Lidl have never appeared in my app in five years, and they are not on Sprive's list either, so they look unsupported for now. Co-op, however, has finally arrived, as a fixed £2.50 reward.

The list of Sprive cashback shops changes often, which is why I update this page every two weeks and log what moved in the changelog above.

Section 07 / Comparison

Is Sprive the best cashback for these shops?

Not always. On 17 September 2026, JamDoughnut paid 3% at Currys against Sprive's 2%. At Argos, on the other hand, Sprive paid 3% and JamDoughnut 2.75%. AO, however, was not on JamDoughnut at all. So for a big tech purchase, it pays to check both apps. My JamDoughnut referral page has its current sign-up offer.

Still, the bigger difference is where the money goes. Sprive's FAQ says: "You can't withdraw money earned from shopping." Your cashback goes to your lender as an overpayment instead. Therefore, if you don't have a mortgage, or you have used up your yearly overpayment allowance, cashback you can spend suits you better. TopCashback is the obvious alternative, and I compare the others in the best cashback apps in the UK.

Before you decide, see how Sprive cashback works for how the money moves from a gift card to your lender.

Section 08 / Regulation

Regulation, and where your money sits

Sprive Limited is on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) register under firm reference number 919863, and you can check its FCA Register record. It is also an appointed representative of Connect IFA Ltd (441505) and New Leaf Distribution Limited (460421) for mortgage services.

Money held in the app's wallet sits with PrePay Technologies Limited (900010), an authorised e-money institution. That money is safeguarded, but it is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

CoolCuration is not FCA authorised and does not give regulated advice. For free, impartial guidance on overpaying a mortgage, try the government-backed MoneyHelper.

Sprive cashback shops: frequently asked questions

Is my supermarket on Sprive?

Probably. Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, M&S, Waitrose, Farmfoods and Ocado were all in my app, paying 1.9% to 2.5%, while Iceland and Morrisons showed "Back soon". Aldi and Lidl were not there, and Co-op pays a fixed £2.50. The full supermarket rates are on my Sprive supermarkets page.

Does Sprive work with Argos or Currys?

Yes, both. Argos paid 3% and Currys 2.2% in my app, and AO up to 1.6%. For any other shop, search the table above.

How long does Sprive cashback take?

It depends on the route. On a gift card, the cashback is worked out when you buy the card. By contrast, on a "Shop online" brand such as Philips or Ocado, the app told me the reward takes 105 days on average to arrive.

Why did my Sprive order not track?

Usually it is cookies. On a "Shop online" brand, you have to allow cookies on the brand's site and buy in the same visit you started from the app. If you rejected cookies or came back later through a search engine, the order will not show up.

Is Sprive only for groceries?

No. My app listed 1,768 Sprive cashback shops, including restaurants, fashion, beauty, travel, broadband, insurance, DIY and pets. The supermarkets are only nine of them, and they are some of the lowest payers.

How much cashback does Sprive pay?

On 1 November 2026, the standard rates in my app ran from 0.6% to up to 57.6% at Which?, and the middle rate across the brands paying a percentage was 3.8%. Another 141 pay a fixed amount, up to £96. Sprive's own calculator assumes a 4% average. In every case, though, it goes to your mortgage rather than your bank account.

Before you go

Rates, brands and terms in the Sprive app change often, and your own figures may differ from mine. Also, any Supercharge figure is a projection rather than cashback. This article is not financial advice and does not take your circumstances into account, so consider speaking to a qualified mortgage adviser before you change how you overpay.

This article contains affiliate and referral links, which are paid links. If you click one and buy or sign up, I earn a commission or referral bonus at no extra cost to you. Brands don't choose what I feature or what I say about them.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
