TrainPal Referral Code: Up to £11 Off When You Sign Up With My Link

Last updated: 24 October 2026

My TrainPal referral code is 57807b9c. New customers who sign up through my invite link get up to £11 off their first train booking. TrainPal changes the welcome offer often, so the exact amount depends on what's running on the day you join. The link adds the code for you, and you then book in the TrainPal app, which charges no booking fees.

This article contains affiliate and referral links, which are paid links. If you click one and buy or sign up, I earn a commission or referral bonus at no extra cost to you. Brands don't choose what I feature or what I say about them.

What the TrainPal referral code gets you

  • Up to £11 off: the welcome discount comes off your first booking when you sign up with my link.
  • The amount changes often: TrainPal adjusts the welcome offer regularly, with no fixed timetable. You get whichever offer is running on the day you sign up.
  • New customers only: the discount works on a new TrainPal account and its first booking.
  • No booking fees in the app: the TrainPal app adds no booking fees, although the website can on some purchases.

Because the discount is a fixed amount, it makes the biggest difference on a cheap journey. For example, £5 off a £10 ticket halves the fare, while £5 off a £50 ticket takes off a tenth. Check the voucher in your account for a minimum spend before you book.

How to use the TrainPal referral code

  1. Open the invite link. It goes to TrainPal's invite page with my code, 57807b9c, already attached.
  2. Create your account. Sign up with your email address, or with Google, Apple or Facebook.
  3. Download the app. Get TrainPal from the App Store or Google Play, then log in with the same account.
  4. Book your first ticket. Your welcome discount should show at checkout, so check the price has dropped before you pay.

What is TrainPal?

TrainPal is a train and coach booking app that launched in the UK in 2018. It belongs to Trip.com Group, the travel company that was called Ctrip at the time. TrainPal is a National Rail accredited retailer, so its tickets are the same as the ones you buy at a station. It also works with more than 1,000 transport partners across Europe, including Eurostar.

TrainPal features that save you money

No booking fees in the app

The TrainPal app charges no booking fees on UK and European train tickets, except tickets in Spain. However, TrainPal says booking fees may apply to some purchases on its website. So book in the app if you want the price you see to be the price you pay.

The TrainPal Card

The TrainPal Card is TrainPal's own discount card, and it sits under Railcards in the app. It costs £25 for 90 days and takes 10% off UK train bookings, at Peak and Off-Peak times. It works alongside a Railcard and vouchers, and the discount comes off automatically. The 10% card on sale now covers up to 30 bookings in 90 days. TrainPal also sells a 15% version from time to time, which is the one I have at the moment, and its terms allow up to 70 bookings. Either way, the most the card takes off any one booking is £10. The discount isn't refunded if you cancel or change a ticket, and once you've bought the card you can't cancel it.

I buy a new card every 90 days, and my current one has saved me £74.48 so far against the £25 it cost. At 10% off, you need to spend £250 on train tickets in 90 days to cover the price. The card doesn't renew automatically, so you have to remember to buy the next one when it runs out. It's also non-refundable, so if your travel plans change you lose whatever is left of the £25.

PalPoints and membership tiers

Every booking also earns PalPoints, and how many depends on your TrainPal membership tier. Silver earns 10 points for every £1 you spend, Gold 15, Platinum 20 and Diamond 25. You move up the tiers by earning status points as you book.

You then swap PalPoints for a discount voucher on a single journey. For example, 750 PalPoints buys 1% off and 1,500 buys 2% off. On Silver, that means £75 of bookings for 1% off one journey, so the points add up slowly. My PalPoints have never expired, but TrainPal doesn't say how long they last, so use them rather than saving them up for years.

Two TrainPal membership screens: Silver earns 10 PalPoints per £1 and Diamond earns 25 PalPoints per £1 plus 0.5% cashback

Cashback to your PalWallet

Higher tiers also pay cashback into your PalWallet, which is TrainPal's balance inside the app. Diamond members get 0.5% back on each booking and Platinum members 0.3%. On Silver and Gold, you get 0.1% back on your second booking, as long as it costs more than £20. Diamond also includes two refunds without a refund fee on flexible tickets. You can't top up the PalWallet with your own money, apart from by buying TrainPal gift cards, but you can spend the balance on tickets.

How the discounts stack

All of these discounts combine on one booking. A Railcard, the TrainPal Card, a promo code or PalPoints voucher, and your PalWallet balance can all go against the same ticket. At checkout, the app shows each saving on its own line, so you can see exactly what came off.

On one of my bookings, a £75.40 fare came down to £41.67. My Network Railcard took off £25.20, a promo code £1 and my TrainPal Card £7.53. I then paid £16.36 of the £41.67 with cashback and referral rewards from my PalWallet. On a £105.60 fare, however, the TrainPal Card took off only £10, because that's the most it takes off one booking.

Two TrainPal price breakdowns: a £75.40 fare reduced to £41.67 by Railcard, promo code and TrainPal Card, and a £105.60 fare where the TrainPal Card discount stops at £10

Split tickets

When you search, TrainPal checks whether splitting your journey into two or more tickets would be cheaper. You still travel on the same train at the same times. The one rule is that your train must stop at every station where one ticket ends and the next begins. The saving depends on the route, so compare the split price with the single-ticket fare before you book.

Railcards in the app

You can buy a digital Railcard in the TrainPal app and apply it to your bookings. Most Railcards save you a third on most rail fares. A Railcard you bought somewhere else works too. If you want money off the Railcard itself, my railcard discount code page has the current offer.

Refunds and Delay Repay

You can request refunds and track Delay Repay claims in the app. Off-Peak and Anytime tickets are refundable until midnight on the day before you travel. A retailer can charge up to £5 to process that refund. Advance tickets, on the other hand, aren't refundable if you change your mind. Instead, you can move them to another time or date for a fee of up to £10 plus any difference in fare. If your train is disrupted, you may get a refund or Delay Repay compensation, and TrainPal's refund guide explains which one to claim.

Is the TrainPal referral code worth using?

Yes, if you're about to book your first ticket with TrainPal anyway. Up to £11 off is a modest saving, but all you have to do to get it is sign up through the link. Over time, though, booking in the app without fees, splitting tickets, adding a Railcard and using the TrainPal Card will save you more than the welcome discount. TrainPal ratings

TrainPal scores 4.7 out of 5 from about 31,900 ratings on the UK App Store. It also scores 4.7 from about 38,000 reviews on Google Play. On Trustpilot, meanwhile, it has a TrustScore of 4.1 from about 11,800 reviews. Those ratings are from early October 2026.

TrainPal referral code FAQs

How much is the TrainPal referral code worth?

New customers get up to £11 off their first booking when they sign up through my link. TrainPal changes the amount often, so check the voucher in your account after you join to see exactly what you've got.

Can I use the TrainPal referral code on an existing account?

No. The welcome discount is for new customers, so it won't apply to an account you already have.

Is a TrainPal referral code the same as a promo code?

No. The referral code gives new customers a welcome discount on their first booking. TrainPal lists its other offers, including Railcard deals, on its discounts and promotions page.

Does TrainPal charge booking fees?

Not in the app. TrainPal says booking fees may apply to some purchases on its website, so the app is the cheaper way to book.

Is TrainPal legit?

Yes. TrainPal is a National Rail accredited retailer and part of Trip.com Group. As a result, its tickets are valid on the train in exactly the same way as tickets from any other retailer.

Is the TrainPal Card worth it?

It is if you spend more than £250 on train tickets in 90 days, because 10% of that covers the £25. I buy one every 90 days, and my current card has saved me £74.48 so far. Remember it doesn't renew on its own and you can't get a refund on it.

Can I get my own TrainPal referral link?

Yes. Register as a TrainPal Star in the app and you get your own invite code to share. TrainPal then gives you £3 for each friend who books their first ticket, plus cashback on the bookings they make in their first 30 days.
