What Yora Rewards dog treats are

Yora is a pet food brand that uses insects as the main protein in its dog and cat food. The insects are the larvae of the black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens, which Yora calls grubs.

Rewards are its treat range. This flavour bakes the insect meal with oats, chickpeas, peanut butter and banana into small soft biscuits. Yora sells them for dogs of all sizes and ages.

  • Fibre: 7%

  • Dogs that react to common meats: Yora calls the treats hypoallergenic because chicken, beef and lamb are common triggers for food sensitivities. Check with your vet if your dog has a diagnosed allergy.

  • Training sessions: the small soft biscuits are easy to break into pieces.
  • A stocking filler for a dog owner: at under £4 it adds to a bigger present.

The limits

They contain peanut butter, at 12% of the recipe, so they are not for a dog with a peanut allergy.

At 315kcal per 100g they are a treat, not a meal. Small dogs need only a few a day, so count them into the daily food allowance.

Some dogs refuse new proteins at first. Buy one pouch before you set up a repeat order.

You will not find them on Amazon UK. Yora sells them direct, and pet shops such as Pets Corner stock them at the same £3.99.

Where to buy them in the UK

Yora sells Rewards on its own website, with free next working day delivery over £15. The vet charity the PDSA explains how to give treats without your dog putting on weight.
